HEC looks a nice prospect but personally the 5 year old thing would worry me; a lot is often made of their record in the champion hurdle being poor but no 5 year old has won a festival novice Chase since 2010 (as far back as I’ve got written down).
I think now JDB is injured & appreciate it isn’t going jumping blue Lord will probably be in Willie’s top 3 novice chasers, and is a good bet for here at 20/1 as he will be the 2nd best horse in the race likely should he come here. I know there was a lot better prices around, including any race bets around the time of his debut, but think the goalposts have moved a lot since then.
So looks like they see him as a 2miler.
Probably all hinges on whether they want another with Ferny in the Arkle or not, cos if they do hes the one imo. Also possible the owners might have a say?
If its decided to just stick with FH, then BL either takes on Bob O who hes been well beaten by before or dont run at all.

it could definitely come down to where owners & daz Jacob want him I suppose especially if It looks like trainer will have a good one in all 3 races anyway with HEC potentially lining up in the marsh.
obviously there’s GDM to fit into the jigsaw somewhere too, for the same owner as HEC, but probably most likely the 3 mile race for him you’d think now.

Willie will probably run them all in Dublin in the Irish arkle.
He does most years.
And then they'll make decisions about Cheltenham.
Assuming they all stay fit, up until the Dec's.
Whoever, gets beaten is likely to be considered for a step up if breeding suggests it.
It looks like this year he may run 2 in the arkle though.

All this could mean is that we could see him 2/3 times in the spring festival races as he hasn't got many miles on the clock this season. The negative is the lack of experience.
In the Killiney at Punchestown he will surely have a Willie horse there against him and probably one from Gordon like Farouk so will be a good test still

Couldn't get him out as early as EA last season and run in the Drinmore on his second run. Then the only race at Xmas for him would have been the Faugheen at Limerick on Boxing Day but one its not a great race as it can sometimes become a bog so not ideal for the horse and the second point was that the wouldn't have been able to have had Rachael on board (which they want going forward for the relationship) as she was at Kempton.

The slight concern I had was why was he entered at Cheltenham, Ascot, Limerick, Leopardstown but not the dipper? Rachael doesn’t look to have any fancy rides on New Year’s Day at Fairyhouse she could have hopped over to ride him in that. Would mean getting 3 runs is easily doable before Cheltenham, which with a new discipline, could only be better IMO.

I'm trying my best to make a case for Jungle Boogie in this race, runs today in a 2m5f race.
He's by Gold Well the same sire as Galvin so looks every bit the Stayer, won both of his maiden Hurdles on 2m4f on heavy and soft.
The only thing that makes me think he'll come here is, Willie Mullins already has GDC for the 3m race, they're still mentioning Stattler for the 3m6f, so what is there obvious horse to go here? baring in mind Concertista will go to the Mares chase.
