  • Which Mullins outsider is the biggest lurker in this in people's opinions? One who could be good each way value on the day with 4 or 5 places on offer. Madmansgame interests me.

Rosy was confirmed as "the one" the other day from a Milton article. Can't remember when exactly. Due to the huge allowance.

MGM for sure behind the other 2 would seem what the yard think but said he’s just a lazy bugger haha

Seem to think there is nothing between the top two on homework. Said redemption can do exactly what Facile can at home

              • Redemption Day better than Facile Vega????

“From what I see at home, Redemption Day can do what Facile Vega can do. Now that doesn’t always equate to the track, but Redemption Day was very impressive at Leopardstown and the form has been franked.
“It’s a pity they didn’t get to run against each other at the DRF, that would’ve made my choice a little bit easier.

“Facile Vega has the form in the book and it’s hard to beat that. He gives you an incredible feel. He’s a big long-striding strong horse and Redemption Day is not, he’s smaller, he’s narrow, he’s very relaxed, you don’t know what’s there until you ask him.

“I don’t think the prices reflect what they do at home, anyway.”

Are you referring to Houlanbatordechais? I've just had a look at that, 33/1 unbeaten.

Has anyone got anymore information on that horse? im trying to put together a value EWLucky 31 for each day with horses above 10/1 at current prices and if he's a goer he's going in it.

Where are the French racing experts?

Far from an expert but the horse was on my list of novice hurdlers for next season so I do have some notes:

Hes been with Willie a while as he was purchased at the Arqana sale in November 2021 (150k). That sale has been particularly successful for Willie in the past and he came with the Pierre Boulard seal of approval who is Willie’s French source. He’s won twice at regional French tracks rather than the marquee courses and the form of his first win lacks substance. His second win did contain some horses that had run in graded races without winning. It is more the manner of his victories and you have to go on the ‘eye test’ as much as anything else with him. The way he despatched his rivals in a matter of strides on his second start marks him out as being decent in my opinion and he’s really bred for jumping so this bumper entry did catch me out, especially given the hot renewal. As my Avatar states, he’s really one for next season for me so I’ll be backing him for Novice hurdles rather than the bumper.

                          • JackieMoon33 Thanks mate, I'll take that on board, I've backed EW for the bumper as a possible lively outsider, and will have a poke for next year's Novice hurdles.

At the price and NRNB, he’s worth a saver as they wouldn’t enter him for a day out.
