  • FV did look phenomenal and I'd make him the best of Willie's seen so far this season.

Paul Nolan will know how far behind the 2nd behind FV is from Sandy Clegane, who I'm not sure will be going for Cheltenham?

For me I have American Mike pretty clear at the moment, with FV second, who is clear of Sandor Clegane, The Big Doyen and Redemption Day.

As we haven't seen Dark Raven out yet over hurdles, I'd like him to turn up in this and I think he'd be the best of Willie's and his Fairyhouse run last year was very good for a 4 year old.

Not that it matters much but he said when talking about on the gallops ''he'd take the hair out of your head'' which I took to mean he would go so quick but Patrick's comments would suggest Redemption is the quicker of the two, they'll try to keep them split so only likely to see FV at the future champions bumper DRF. I think it was plain to see Patrick holding back loads on Redemption Day so he could have won even easier on the eye than FV did. Ruby's comments of him doing it better at home and then only seeing 70% of what he's capable of on track means I'll be getting Redemption Day onside until the DRF decs.

      • With a lack of entries over hurdles, I wonder if Grangeclare West will turn up here for Willie and make it four on the bounce for CPS?

If they made the call to hold him back for bumpers then surely he’d have run by now or at least had an entry? I’m thinking that there is maybe more to his absence.

100% he has definitely picked up some knock or injury or they would have raced him or even entered him in a bumper this season

"Before they all raced, Redemption Day, based on what he does at home"

"After they all raced, it would have to be Facile Vega, based what he did on the racecourse, he was the most impressive"

He said he would always prefer the one that saved their best for the track, compared to the one working better at home.

So that's why he now would pick Facile Vega.
Did he mention Embassy Gardens at all?

Not sure about that. He's already won a Bumper so he can have just the one run and be ready for March. I'm beginning to think he will be CP's representative. Willie is Pretty much always multi , multi represented in the Bumper so no issues there.

Sure WPM said something along the lines of, “he’d take your hat off on the gallops”
"Take the hairs off your head"
"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

But if he was going to be one of the better bumper performers, it seems strange not to have him out at Leopardstown over Xmas. I know there are other opportunities but Willie seemed to go all in for those races with his best.

Maybe. He does already have the Bumper experience though over Willie's others that have run the last few days. I'm just clutching

                        Don’t stop believing

If he doesn’t get a run into Classic Getaway soon then he’d be the more likely one. He must be fit and ready to go given the amount of entries he’s had.

Yeah haha. Looks like its pretty much sorted at the top of the market between the top 5 now (American Mike, Facile, Redemption, The Big Doyen and PITP). I can't see many more coming out to spoil the party at the top of the market now

Even if the Dark Raven comes this way you'd have to be wary after a long layoff and not the original plan this season.
Springwell Bay I would have hoped to have seen again by now and I think they are not running him much this season to save for the future.
Embassy Gardens doesn't look as good at the other Mullins horses (more for staying chases in the future)
Then the others aren't really with trainers you'd want them to be with or aren't coming here
