Just seen on RP that he's found his way to Brian Ellison and will start off in a novice hurdle soon. Could easily rack up a winning sequence up north you'd think if he's that good at home.

Depends where you read- Patrick had said before the Fairyhouse bumper Cool Jet was entered in initially- the one Ferny and Envoi ran in on Hatton's Grace day, that none of the entries were anything to write home about and would probably be more for small track bumpers

His quote is ‘4 times the size of Quevega’ and ‘catches the eye every morning on the gallops’. Also says he is very much looking forward to getting on him.

Yeah sure if Patrick Mullins told me the sky was blue I’d go open the curtains and check outside

Its a Maiden Hurdle that Henry targets decent sorts at every year.

He has had them place 2211 in the last 4 years including Notebook 2nd and Champagne Gold 1st.

                  Should have a decent chance.

                    From Willie Sportinglife stable tour.

                    COOL JET

He's by Jet Away, a sire who is making an impact in the point-to-point field. He does everything right at home and is one I think Patrick is looking forward to getting his leg across in a bumper.

I remembered it differently so not as hyped up as I remembered to be fair. Still one of the few bumper horses to make the preseason stable tour though.

Willie is giving nothing away with this one Jackie. Cool Jet is 1 from 4 in bumpers, and stuffed each time he met anything decent. He can still run in bumpers, but you'd wonder why other than a fitness exercise before running in a below average maiden hurdle.

                        Is that from last year?

Yep, Jackie brought it up as part of the discussion and Spectre got confused with the context.
He's going hurdling with B Ellison now and they were discussing his credentials, and how much he was talked up last season prior to running in bumpers.
                          I reckon anyway.

Yes that was last year. This was in response to people getting excited about the ‘giant’ Quevega colt that was mentioned by Patrick. I was making the point that Cool Jet had a ‘bit’ of hype preseason for the bumper last season and didn’t amount to much in the end.

Au Fleuron won a PtP bumper during the interrupted season and he looks like he’d be sharp enough to go far in bumpers and not just be filling time before jumping. The only downside is that he’s already won a bumper so could be harder to place. Cool Survivor won a point but again seems pacy enough to do well in bumpers. Gordon also has American Mike who I’ve seen mentioned a bit, but he looks a proper chaser and I’d think he’ll be one that is minded this season if they keep him to bumpers.
Cool Survivor entered up on Friday alongside American Mike and Bellatior. Interesting that Gigginstown own Cool Survivor given they were winding down.

I love Bellatior's bloodlines. Can't wait to see her run.
