It will be interesting to see where he is aimed at by Mullins.

They have said Redemption Day is the speedier one, so you would assume he will be aimed initially at the Supreme.

Mercurey as a 5 year old next Cheltenham and based on breeding would appear a 2 miler.

He may have others not yet seen but you'd expect Mullins to have something from the French NH scene for the Supreme as well.

Could the Ballymore suit? Mainly been won by ex PTP horses though.

Gordon has American Mike, who I'd assume being out of Mahler would be for the Ballymore and the dam side has plenty of stamina.

There's also the other expensive ex PTP recruits I'm sure we will see between now and May before going hurdling next season.

It’s not just you don’t worry thought the weight had been printed wrong on the card today, then I remembered…

      • Sky have 250/1 for Jonbon Supreme/ Arkle and FV Bumper and your choice of Supreme/ Ballymore. I know won't appeal to all but may to some.

None I can see at the moment and think he might shorten overnight. Risk of getting chinned by Mike to factor in too. But I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for the offers.

In the summer on the french racing websites they tend to make posts on the french recruits going to mullins / elliott so I'll definitely be keeping my eyes out for them.

Whereas Facile Vega just fluffing walloped them... but still, the Cheltenham Bumper is the Bumper!
Didn't it take the "time boys" to mention that though? Which came a day or so after the race? Could be wrong.

Looked superb today all the same.

Specials>RequestABet>National Hunt RequestABet, though I can see prices have been cut now.

                  • WH have Pink In The Park today and the Bumper at 18/1

Which is pretty decent, if you fancy her to win today.

                    • Nick Luck basically asked Willie which of the winners so far was the best and he picked out Facile Vega without much hesitation, says he's even better than he thought he was and that we saw something special.

He said the same on his RTE interview as well.

                        • Was never keen on pink in the park, no surprise there for me

Most of the horses at the head of the market beat average horses senselessly, so it's not line of reasoning that's worth too much.

I know for a fact that they weren't shocked at how well she won in September.

As for the comparison to Facile Vega and Redemption day, I'd suggest it may be worth considering the small matter of the 7lb allowance, which leaves her close to the other two, and with a bundle of improvement expected.

Where she ultimately ends up in the pecking order of the three is yet to be seen, and there is no presumption from 'Team Mullins' that she's the back number.
Like I said she won’t be winning the Champion Bumper

                            • None of the Mares will be getting close in the Cheltenham race. Patrick didn't give PITP the best ride either as she got squeezed back at the wrong time.

                              • Battling Bessie thumped half the track by American Mike, thought a few of his supporters would be quite happy with how she's gone there then.
