  • Samcro wouldn’t stay this far in a horse box, might just be trying to freshen him up. Would love somebody to ask Gordy mind

    • Surprised the plunge on the newly JP McManus owned Prengarde hasn’t been mentioned in here today. Very strong French cross country form and now trained by a mystery (most likely Enda) Irish trainer. Opened at 20’s around 13:00 today with a few bookies and now best priced 8’s

      • Would have to be a negative for Shady Operator. Hope Prengarde is one for next year's

          • Fair point. I've not backed Easyland though

He's won the same two races as Easyland before coming here as well. And Easyland being 6 at the time means I can't even claim this 7 year old is too young...

If I knew he was going for the race I'd take the 8s nevermind 20s.

Was wondering who he’d gone to, probably should’ve guessed!

I do think it’s very interesting that this has now emerged in the same week that the balko des flos news has broken and reports of uncertainty surrounding tiger roll have emerged (despite pictures on GE’s social media of tiger schooling XC fences with samcro and mortal). This race has sat pretty steady all year but this week the market has changed completely.

The price crash happened very quickly, maybe the results of lots of bets from around the country at once or a big bet from the owners gang. From what I can gather he’s one of the brightest cross country horses in France this season and has won a number of cross country races. The hard bit is getting him to the festival in March fit and ready. This race needs a new superstar as it looks very poor on paper at the moment.

                  • Going to roll up Prengarde tomorrow. We don't know much, but the race looks dreadful and horses that 11111 + JP + Enda + 20's into 8's, all equals get on quickly IMO.

Yep, did exactly the same thing today. This feels just like when I missed the price on Easysland a couple of years ago and never bothered to roll him up. Not making the same mistake this time.

Edit: Wonder if Scooby91 knows what the story is with Prengarde and what the plans are for him. Been a while now but I think he put Easysland up before.

yep absolutely agree with all of that. I’ve rolled him up with Ardhill tomorrow.

                          • Prengarde Already into 5/1 with Will Hill from 7/1 in about 2 hours . Now that has to be some money down for the horse.

                                Indeed.

I did check in this thread a couple of days ago, to see if he'd been mentioned.
