I couldn’t be more turned off by him & ajas, wouldn’t be surprised to see neither of them turn up. There’s the good x country race in pau in early feb so I think should he miss that he’d be in danger of being confirmed a festival nr soon after

      • The French-trained Easysland is still on course for the Glenfarclas Chase, despite not being seen since finishing runner-up to Tiger Roll in last season’s renewal.

Trained by David Cottin, Easysland had previously slammed Tiger Roll by 17 lengths in the 2020 edition and remains 4-1 joint-favourite with that rival for the three-and-three-quarter-mile event on March 16.

“Easysland has had a few setbacks but hopefully he is getting there,” said Berry.

“There was nothing substantial, just minor issues, but it just slowed the whole job down with him. Hopefully he will get back on song now.

“You’d like to think he will get back to Cheltenham for the cross country chase and hopefully he will get there. We’ll have to see what happens after that.

“We’ll see if he has a run beforehand, but nothing has been decided yet.”

I heard a rumour that he had moved to Jonjo. Can’t for the life of me remember where… maybe it was a dream

That's not a tempter to back him, for sure.

                  • Last season’s Grand National runner-up Balko Des Flos has been ruled out for the remainder of the current campaign with injury.

Winner of the 2018 Ryanair Chase when was owned by Gigginstown House Stud, the Henry de Bromhead-trained 11-year-old was purchased by the micro-share syndicate RacehorseClub after unseating in the cross-country chase at Cheltenham in March.

Sent off at 100-1 in the National, he managed to beat all bar stablemate Minella Times and the aim was to return to Aintree in April.

He had run three times this season, once over hurdles and more recently over the cross-country course in November and December, shaping well the first time in fifth when giving all but two stone to those in front of him. But he picked up an injury in December when ninth.

“Balko Des Flos suffered an injury at Cheltenham a few weeks ago which will sadly rule him out for the remainder of the jumps season,” RacehorseClub ambassador Freddy Tylicki said on

                    • Not unexpected. He was very, very lame walking back at Cheltenham.

                        • Why is this race not on Betfair exchange yet?

This race definitely there for the taking isn't it! Hope all is well with Shady.

I can't find an angle on it! Easyland or Tiger could both miss it so risky to take but either likely winner if show up and well!

                            • God this race is absolutely awful now...

Serious doubts about whether Easysland, Tiger Roll or Ajas will turn up, Farclas has never ran over the cross country fences so hes unlikely at best. The one horse that looked likely to run and can put up a 150+ performance now out for the season.

The highest RPR out of anything else that I can find is 143, being Plan Of Attack (twice), Back On The Lash and Diesel D'Allier. Praying that one of the big three turn up or something appears from France or something...

Edit... forgot about Shady Operator at 149.

Impossible to pass up the race now with Tiger surely? There's nothing left for him to beat with Easysland an unlikely runner.
