Has the potential to be the race of the meeting doesn’t it. Shiskin, energuneme, Chacun, nube negra (who could quite possibly still be improving) and then the reigning champ PTKO.
Im in the shiskin camp as there’s no substitute to Cheltenham and especially festival form and the program over here will set him up nicely for the big day. Tingle creak, Clarence House, champion chase. Are there any to remain unbeaten specials about this season?!
I’m sure I’ve seen one for Shishkin winning the Tingle Creek, Clarence House & Champion Chase @ 3/1.
Different to remaining unbeaten but if he wins all those I’ll be shocked if he’s not unbeaten!

Wait for Hendo to send him to Sandown in April on good to firm, 7 fences down the back straight whilst going quicker than he's ever travelled.

These horses will be coming out soon, a whole host of last year's novices lining up in the Haldon Gold Cup in early November.
PTKO and Politalogue going for the shloer
Shiskin, Nube Negra, Greanateen, first flow and maybe one of Willie's in the Tingle Creek.
Should be a cracking 6 weeks
Graham Rodway completely writing off PTKO chances in the big racing post preview on Mon saying she was a lucky winner and would have been beaten in another few strides... we all have opinions but...

Rodway is by far one of the biggest fools who has a history of making daft claims time and time again.

He is the worst Tipster on Racing Post by a long way.
How he got a job there, I have no idea.
Call me mad, but I'm starting to think Envoi could end up here. You'd have to think Allaho goes to the Ryanair, I don't see CPS wanting them both taking each other on at Cheltenham. Then in Henry's yard you have Indo, a Plus Tard and Eklat all for the gold cup. Long term they thought Envoi to be a gold cup horse, but when you consider his form over 2 miles when novice hurdling, he wouldn't be far off Shishkin. Granted replicating that form over 2 miles winging fences is a different ball game, but I could quite easily see him having a few races over an extended 2 miles to build confidence, then coming back to 2 miles at Leopardstown to test the likes of Energumene or Chac. Not saying he'd beat any of the big 3 but he'd add another angle to what is already shaping up to be the best race of the festival if they all make it.
Long bitcoin, long gold, long silver, long g/s opening day Cheltenham Festival
Not going to bet on it but I'm very intrigued by Envoi Allen here now. Have to think Allaho is more likely for the Ryanair and Henry sounded reluctant about 3m post-race today.
Fir me the worry for Envio in QM is that he’s not quite quick enough over a fence. Think it would lose a few lengths in a possible classic QM this year. Though I’ve got my 225/1 shout fir Shiskin to win QM and envio God cup 20/21 & 21/22 I can see envio going ryan air now. Hope not!
Superstar or not, if they went to the Champion Chase up against specialist 2 milers at a 2 mile pace, surely they'd want to be going the 2 mile route in preparation rather than John Durkan or King George. I am taking it that when Henry says 'pacy' he is referring to 2.5 miles and not 3m+. That's not to say that he could develop in a further year to the GC distance, which is not an unusual circumstance, for class horses.
I've still not given up on Allaho turning up here. Ryanair still odds on but Willie has dangled the carrot a little........
'Chacun Pour Soi was very good against him at Punchestown, but I still wouldn't give up on Allaho over two miles. I think we can improve the way he ran at Punchestown, which puts him right there in the firing line in Grade 1 races over two miles.'

Keep banging that drum Lobos
Willie is keeping his options open, nothing more - 'I'd imagine the Ryanair would look odds-on for him again this year' - so he is spelling out his intentions.
I'm not worried about Willie's team and what goes where with a view to Allaho. The difference between a proper 2 miler and a very good horse that can run over 2 miles is night and day IMO, and that was painfully evident LTO. RB clearly wanted to try the Ryanair tactics on Allaho but it was evident quickly that it wasn't going to work.
CPS has a higher cruising speed and is more comfortable over his fences at that speed. RB was niggling quite far out as Allaho was out of his comfort zone and Willie will know this. I'd be confident at least 2 of his are more comfortable over 2m than Allaho, and thats just his, before factoring in other 2 milers.
Of course, it's not inconceivable that a horse of Allaho's ability could drop back in trip, but it's highly unlikely. He's simply not seen as a 2 miler. His run LTO was a 'nothing to lose' exercise and he achieved what he always has running under 2m4f, he didn't win. Aside from WPM having better options and Allaho not looking good enough over 2m, Willie is a creature of habit. Allaho won the race of the season award because he was phenomenal in the Ryanair. Willie sent Min back out to win another Ryanair and it would be completely against Willies character to abandon a race he knows he can win.
Whilst WPM has never won the race and that might be on his mind, the 'he's never won the QMCC before' and'he'll want the race on his CV' chat is complete nonsense in the context of sending a horse down a route it's not best suited to. IMO, of course.
