If evens money was being offered on Chacun to finish in the top 5 (if I’m reading your assumption correctly??), I’d be certain it’d be the kind of price to potentially finish off a lot of bookmakers!!
Evens on Chacun to finish in the top 3 (you still need both Shishkin & Energumene to finish ahead) seems an unbelievably generous price??
If you were to take the evens for Chacun you would be banking on him coming 3rd behind the top two (or 1/5 odds on to be in top 5 if you prefer).
Effectively 2/1 for PTKO to be in the first 5 was more so my point in highlighting.

She's got an entry for the Mares' Chase, but I'd say that we're 95 per cent leaning towards the Champion Chase. When you look at her run when third the Shloer Chase this season on very good ground, it was probably a similar performance to her win in the same race on testing ground a year earlier. She was disappointing at Fairyhouse on her only other start this season when she just didn't turn up at all. If you take that out, we feel that she's entitled to go back to the Champion Chase and try to defend her crown.

Obviously ignoring her form but for the reigning QM Champion Chaser to not defend the crown would take away from the race massively!

If she's on song she could battle herself into the money.

Though Ruby and quite a few in here would have had her in the Mares race last year…

She would need some soft in the going description though, that would give her a right chance of hitting the frame at least, no chance on genuine good or faster (although I think it was good last year)
Maybe Charlie could enlighten us on conditions around that part of the world? 3 weeks out from the Supreme tomorrow so surely some ground reports coming out soon.
Soft ground would rule out Nube Negra, Greanateen, etc

If they go like the clappers early Shiskin will piss in, only way of beating him is for a steady run race with a sprint from 3 out

Seen people on twitter indignant about her coming here over the mares. I'm sorry, we all talk about the calendar taking away from contests etc - the defending CHAMPION CHASER should 100% attempt to defend their title
