If you dutched (is that the correct term in this case??) GDC for the Marsh and RSA in the Bet365 antepost market, he'd be a 1/4 shot ... for a horse up against either Bob or BMG that is quite ridiculous and shows the mess these Antepost markets get in when they adjust single horses to follow trainer quotes etc.
On the news of GDC being aimed at the Marsh, he should've been pushed out for the RSA.
I always thought dutching was selecting 2 horses for the same race, may be wrong.
Very valid point, you wouldn't back GDC TWAR at 1/4 would you
Did Willie firmly indicate a preference to run Allaho in the Marsh earlier that year as he has just done with GDC? Genuine question - before my anteposting days.
I'm almost certain that Mullins was the only one in the camp that said RSA when Ruby, Casey and Patrick all said the Marsh would suit him better.
Maybe I'm being stubborn.
But I don't understand how 'could go to either the turner's or browns'
And 'cant see him going up to 3 miles' can make any sort of sense. Surely you've decided which way he's going with the latter statement.
I still think he's thinking out loud, it's a great story, both options are genuinely an option. Going to be plenty of clicks later for the tour.
I just think it's absolute madness for him to be considering a race 1 1/2 furlongs shorter than his race at the DRF when he said he was worried the pace they were going in regards to his jumping. Surely its just a no brainer to go for the race 2 1/2 furlongs longer?
It will be a very strange decision if he does end up in the Marsh imo. If L'homme presse does turn up there aswell he will certainly be putting plenty of pressure on GDC's jumping at speed.

Can only assume he's bluffing or Ruby has been in his ear. I totally agree with you.
If GDC goes the Turners, which of Mullins would be his first choice here?
You'd imagine Capodanno. That one though bruised his shoulder last time so I'd be wary. I'd fancy GDM to step up to the plate. He's been running over an inadequate trip all season and his most impressive last season over hurdles was when he powered through the mud at Leopardstown.

I hope it's not GDM. Had a nice each way trixie with RWF and Honeysuckle from April last year that I cashed after his loss to Bob but he ran well last time. I think Capodanno should have the beating of him and Bravemansgame's fencing looks to have improved him a fair bit to make up the difference with GDM
But I'm not sure any of capo, stattler or GDM would beat Bravemansgame given how well he jumps
National Hunt Novices’ Chase - Stattler
“He’s going for the National Hunt Chase. He jumps well and before he even jumped a fence we thought he was a horse for this race. His method of jumping is much better than that and in time I think he’ll come back in and win over three and less because he’s such a good jumper.
“It’ll be up to Patrick to settle him. He’s very quick jumping. He won’t switch races in my book, we’ve had him mapped out for this and I think that’s where he looks. If he went into the Brown Advisory he wouldn’t be the favourite so I’m happy to go for this.”
