  • I'm not blown away by that to be honest. A real shame about the two fallers as we might have found out more. Still takes all the beating but jumping right and some awkward jumping would be a worry.

    • Nothing learnt there to sway towards which race imo, could be either still.

      • A bit disappointed with the race, couple of early falls, think the second was a good deal further behind Bob so hopefully he goes here!

        • Hes a big relentless galloper

          Looks made for this

          • That was very good. Not as visually impressive as him debut, but certainly much more substance to it.

Won it in the manner of a stayer, there was no turn of pace in there just turned the screw in the last mile.

              • I feel I was more confident about Monkfish last season to be fair after this race.

When a horse fiddles one or makes an error I always look at what he does next, he was tight at the middle one down the back straight then he pinged the one after.
He's demolished a horse who put up an RPR of 155 last time.
Absolutely desperate for him to come here...

                        9/1 with PP..

                        only 11/4 with sky
9 lengths still a great shout though!

We should ask Paul Townsend for a justice refund for easy up.

                        • …GDC now odds-on in places for this but that’s probably because there’s no Bob O.

Paul Townend said impressive at the intermediate trip.

There is A LOT of confirmation bias going on here for backers of the 3m race
                            To be expected, of course.

                            • If I'm being totally honest, I do feel less bullish than I did about him, but having said that, he'll only get better won't he?

I may be in a minority but Monkfish at this point had proven more than GDC over hurdles and novice chases and looked more impressive in this race and had a weaker stayer class to beat than what GDC may have to beat.
