Kim Muir perhaps for GDS. Very disappointing today.

        Awful, truely underwhelming!

It’s Galopin Des Champs or bust for me in this market now, keen to see him on the track, he has an entry at Naas on Thursday along with plenty of others from Willies yard!

I’m hoping he’s holding him back so as not to overcook the program like with Monkfish last year who wasn’t at his best at Cheltenham, beginners chase, Dublin racing festival then here hopefully leaving time to freshen up for Punchestown, a meeting the Turley’ are very fond of apparently!

        • Very happy with my position in this race with the big 4 all secured for well over my target wins, the one other horse I have is Gentlemansgame, I haven't seen anything on him though, is he confirmed going over fences?

His only entry over xmas is a 3M hurdle at Leopardstown

            • Cant have BMG for this, no chance he'll get up the hill. He will be my lay of the festival, just like last year. As for AS.........................

He has two long range entries: One in The Christmas Hurdle and one in The Stayers at the festival so looks like he is staying over hurdles.

Stayers entries aren't out yet. Not sure why the racing post continues to post them as probable entries - it could cause people to part with cash after seeing it, very misleading.

Thanks for posting FM, I didn't realise it was only 'possible' entries.

They are the only ones that seem to do it but can't see what they gain by doing so. It's all a bit weird.

Having backed BMG for the race, along with a load of others anyway, I do find myself agreeing about BMG and the hill. I wouldn't say he's my lay of the festival yet, I like to wait until nearer the time for that but he was my lay last season, after he won the Challow

                          Thoughts on AS?

Possibly but I think connections may do another 'Run Wild Fred' and target the Irish National which is worth €500,000 this year. Run Wild Fred's first few chase performances were relatively poor whilst the handicapper formed his opinion and then he showed some improvement prior to running a big race at Fairyhouse. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a similar trend for Gars De Sceaux.

He looked a dour stayer over hurdles and his run on Saturday did nothing to persuade me otherwise so for me he will be targeted at one of the principal staying chases, and if he should remain a novice, we have our 2023 winner of the National Hunt Chase!!
