In his interview with Sky afterwards, Paul Nicholls said he's not convinced Bravemansgame needs 3 miles. Had a busy season last year, will take it easier on him this year. Target Rising Stars next. Thinks Bob Olinger must be a very smart horse. Sounds like he will be avoided anyway if it does come to that IMO

These staying Novice Chasers are giving me a massive headache. So hard to work out where they'll turn up. For me the Ballymore form is the strongest we can go on so I'd currently have GDM for the RSA. However, if Bollinger rocks up there, what then ? It could mean that some very good horses are pushed into the NHC in order to split them up. They can't all take each other on. Fantastic racing to look forward to though.

Tempted to top up on GDM as the ballymore form has had a good bit of franking past few days and bodes well for him

An absolute no-brainer IMO @ 25/1.
GDM did exceptionally well to chase BO home given how keen he'd run throughout. You can mark the run up and he was good enough to brush aside BMG.

How they improve for fences will unfold as we go, but based on GDM form behind BO, coupled with his profile (breeding, owner, trainer), I think 25/1 is an absolute must for anyone in the RSA.

Was he really THAT impressive :/ Beating FR 5 and half lengths getting 12lb? Visually I think it looked like he won a little easier than he actually did.. We all got plenty carried away by TBBs debut at Cheltenham last seaason IIRC.

By the sounds of Nicholls saying he might have a quieter season, it wouldn't suprise me if he went Kempton and then onto the Mildmay skipping Cheltenham and a potential clash with Bob.

All in all, 6/7s is ridiculous.

If I recaollect correctly, Nicholls said in his stable tour with Kevin Blake that the first time Bravemansgame will run 3m will be in the RSA.

Noticed you and Madmoose pointing GDM towards here. Obviously Galopin could get injured or anything, but if it was tomorrow, surely Gaillard is still likelier to end up over 2m5. Madmoose even stating that he'll avoid Bob and go here...gotta admit i'd doubt him and Galopin would be running vs eachother even if they are both in different colours.

He's a hard horse to weigh up, as he's pretty keen at times, but WPM has hinted at him possibly wanting further, but maybe that's just cause Bob was so good.

Maybe on ratings it wasn't overly impressive but IMO that was one of the best rounds of jumping I have seen from a first time out novice. He was very very clever at his fences and never looked like he was on a wrong stride. Harry Cobden said as much yesterday when talking of how he had schooled.
The antepost prices this year are a joke.

Anyone think Tea Clipper ends up here? Obviously went over shorter yesterday, but does look to have stamina, and I would rate yesterday as a decent level performance (on my time figs enough to place in last year’s RSA), especially as was a day suited speedier types given the ground. Can’t even see him priced up on Skybet at the moment

Was impressed with BMG today, but some prices being branded around are just absolutely stupendous. Normally at this stage of the season I have around 50 bets with Hills on average. This year I have 15. They must of took a massive whack last season, as general market prices and especially any race market prices are diabolical.

I actually liked your darlings run today…his hurdle form
is not very good but it was a totally diferet horse today! And with his big reputation he may actually start proving himself, he travelled well throuhh the whole race and took it off the leader with no worries at all then pulled away piss easy..i really liked it and id imagine he will get further..id have him as an each way bet for this but failing that hes in the tracker and msybe hes got other targets
