    • Just watched the Race hour preview.
Re GDC - they all agree Bob will win the turner's with or without GDC and emphatically.
Several including Fogarty question BMGs ability on the hill at Cheltenham, and when asked what does he actually find. Basically agree he's getable.
Then when the awkward moment comes David Mullins questions why an earth isn't GDC going to the 3m, I got the bunker mentality from Fogarty and no real answer. Was all very strange in my opinion was very weird aswell. David Mullins is thinking what we're all thinking.
Hard to decipher much from it but found the response very unsatisfying.

You have to watch the Browns chat and then the turners (very end) aswell.

….odd that Jamie Codd gave Bob O as his ‘Lay of the meeting’ on the ATR preview.

Not working. For anyone else looking, checked their twitter and it's been taken down for sound issues and they hope to put it back up today.

                Apologies. Hopefully back up later.

Just to add - Fogarty was very aware he flipped the market with DD and SG the night before with his comments. I don't think he wanted to make that mistake again.

                  No worries.

To be fair to Fogarty, I think he just corrected the markets. They are 50/50 for respective races according to CPS, Willie and all others. Before his comments, there was a massive market assumption that it was DD Supreme, SG Ballymore.

                    • If you watch last nights ATR preview Blake and Codd both spoke as if GDC going to the Turners was a given.

Perhaps just treat it as if they have. Everyone appears to want to pick at the scar over and over. I guess it’s human nature but reading all the posts it feels like people are just torturing themselves. Perhaps just assume it’s a done deal and anything different is then a bonus but at the moment people are allowing themselves to die by a thousand cuts which can’t be healthy.

                        • Question to Patrick Mullins…..

From a pure sporting perspective, how excited are you by the prospect of Galopin Des Champs taking on Bob Olinger?

I'd love to see it happen. If there weren't three Grade 1 novice chases at the festival, and there shouldn't be, it would definitely be happening. There are only two at Punchestown so if not at Cheltenham then hopefully we'll see it there.

Seems to be saying it might not happen at Cheltenham. Every day a different view?!

I read that comment earlier in the week, Tue/Wed maybe ?
May well have contributed to the recent exchange activity…

Yeh lots of back and forth Lobos. Its a bit of puzzle, but I think when we piece together whats been collectively said, plus what we see, the Turners just doesn't make as much sense as here. The above is basically PM intimating it won't happen. We know Willie (barring Don Poli) campaigns his RSA horses over 2m5f before stepping up to 3m for the first time, thats just how he operates. We know post DRF that Willie said 'I wasn't as happy watching Galopin Des Champs jumping at Grade 1 pace as I was at Christmas'. He wouldn't have an easier time jumping v Bob Olinger over 2m4f than he would over 3m v BMG. On debut Willie said 'galloped away through the line and beyond it' and then after DRF said 'Galopin Des Champs still hit the line well' - a lot was made about how hard he was hitting the line and that to me screams RSA not Turners. Last year Willie stepped him up to 3m and it was his best performance - he loved it.

Agree with this Rooster, what will be will be now. Nothing can be done anyway, cash outs are gone, bets are down months ago.

Obviously from personal financial positions, I want Galopin here like everyone else (well most). I also think this is his best chance of winning, I am definitely in Bobs camp over 2m3f (60 odd yards?). I think Galopin would tuck away this field no problem, Ahoy maybe stay on for second with Bravemansgame not seeing it out up the hill, possibly being caught by Capo or Gaillard depending who ran here.

What I would say is, I seen a few days ago someone mentioned Bravemansgame tried to go with Bob but I think that covers up the reality of what happened, let’s not forget it was turning for home Bob took it up, wasn’t as if it was a mile out and Bob was increasing the tempo and bravemansgame was trying to keep tabs on him. Of course Bravemansgame is going to try and go after him it was the bloody home straight to me that says he didn’t see it out. He may be stronger etc which is likely but that doubt is there for me. Gaillard put 4 and a half lengths between him and Bravemansgame over the last to the line.
