Was watching a met forecast this am (for the first time ever and found it really interesting cos I'm a nerd - they showed some of the simulation models they've run!) and they actually haven't got a clue which way it's gonna go towards the back end of next week any more. They were pretty sure that it would be dry before but the latest models are suggesting it will either be cold and dry or warmer and wetter. They're not expecting anything in between and actually the most recent models suggest warmer and wetter. I'm hoping the original forecast that you're working off proves more accurate

Interesting - I know it’s pure speculation, but what do you look for to know it’s ‘significant’ or ‘yard money’. I keep hearing of the latter, but are there trends like a sudden plunge that you look for that give the clues?

Just the price contraction.
Halved in price overnight so not insignificant.
As for where the money comes from you can’t tell but this has been sustained, not a sole/rogue trader playing games…

Interesting that these moves on Mullins horses/targets are all coming at similar time. After Sir G and DD yesterday and now GDC today.

Is the timing of this significant to the SG/DD switch? Could the yard have made a decision internally on the running’s which have got out… or someone making a move onGDC off the back of it to make it look like that’s the case.

Does that suggest Willie, Paul & maybe others have now spoken about running plans? If so I wonder what else they talked about and which moves are next?

Assuming this is a yard move... my guess would be that they've done their final pieces of prep work for the festival over the past day or so. Dysart showed he could settle in behind in his bit of work leading to decisions being made, etc etc.

Then again it's still Willie so it's likely to flip flop another 5 times before the week itself
