He's demolished a horse who put up an RPR of 155 last time.
Absolutely desperate for him to come here...
Jesus I dunno about that Ista he'd a string of 3 or 4
really patchy jumps aside from veering right. Did it smartly when he had to be fair which is something I'd pay attention to.

There is A LOT of confirmation bias going on here for backers of the 3m race
      To be expected, of course.
Tbf he was given a leading question by Nick Luck and was in a rush to get away to the weighing room so was not going to say anymore haha

        Absolutely.

I just think it's very, very clear it's still a decision to be made!

I'm hopeful it's here too, like most.

'a little bit out of his comfort zone coming down the back straight', 'room for improvement in jumping'

          • As someone who has him in neither race apart from a couple of multiples, I think I can give an unbiased opinion.
I think he wins whichever race he goes in.
For me it’s simply a case of which distance they prefer him to run in in March.
Dont think the opposition makes a difference to them to be honest. They know what they have.
Pretty sure I know as well.

            • Just switched on itv racing there, did Willie say he thought GDC stride pattern was a little off as it was a grade 1 and going that bit faster? Maybe that’s a positive ti take out for RSA as they will be going that bit slower at a longer distance?

It's his second chase start and even the best novice chasers are still learning at this stage of their (chase) careers.
I thought the ones he wasn't on a stride he fiddled well and the couple he was out the right weren't wild.
I'm inclined to give him the benefit of doubt...

                • Paul Townend, the bit that got missed from the quotes I've seen - "Proper race today. Proper gallop." Yet despite this he's pulled further clear after the last. Doesn't lack stamina, does he

Willie said he looked like he struggled a bit at the pace as well down the back. Step up incoming....

                        • He'll have to do better than that to beat BMG I'd say. Think he can though.

Aye, that Willie quote is the one! Step up in trip all over it if he's struggling with the pace half way there.
