Interesting thanks - how likely is he to be ‘in the know’? Or is it just an interesting write up.
He won't be 'in the know' as such with irish trainers I'd say. However, he does work for ATR and through his publication OJA, he obviously has close relationships with several British trainers in order to do the interviews. From his books, his main irish connection is Declan Phelan who does articles / sections for him.
He is based in Kirkby Lonsdale (up north) so has closest connections with the northern trainers, particularly it would seem Nicky Richards given proximity. Either way, he's worth following for his publications, they're very insightful and good value in my opinion.

Be odd placing....and maybe not good for a developing horse....but its a good shout and much better price than others
My shock was Hills accepting a bet from me
Why odd placing?
I don't think he'd have any trouble at all staying the trip. He looks to power through the line each time... and if GDC and Bob O are in the Turners, they'll surely consider it?
Ahoy Senor and Bravemansgame aren't head and shoulders above are they? I think he's looked really good so far.
No offense meant here however ....*high pitched * Not good for a developing horse? He's 7? It's fine for Galopin Des Champs who is 6?
Not watched it yet, just seen result… Ahoy with a chance ?
I liked it, he jumped well in the main. Despite going out to his right a touch he does seem to go better on left handed tracks for some reason.
You’d definitely be more hopeful now than at the start of the day. For all he was odds on & should’ve been winning, he couldn’t have done it any easier.

You maybe right
Sorry, meant the prep be odd....if had Browns in mind a poss, would prob have given him a run nearer that distance before, rather throwing him in against top horses at Chelt. He has never done 3m hurdling
If GDC and Bob in Turners, then it still might be a good switch.....i did the bet
