Not giving up on GDM until we see his next run, presumably over further. Capodanno stayed on really well to win after his mistake 2 out but GDM was also doing all his best work late on to be beaten a couple of lengths. My view is let's see what he can do over 3 miles with a run under his belt before going for any hasty cashouts!

Capo and GDM finishing well was boosted visually, by the runner-ups error IMHO.
I'm not sure in the aftermath of the race that anyone was talking about Embrun Mitja (on his 2nd run back after 900+ days off) - and maybe they should have been, as Henry has entered him in the 2M1F Christmas Grade 1 Novice chase."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

…really good point re Embrun M, must be very fragile & not seen any trainer quotes re target.

Not saying that Delvino is a star but he does provide another reference point for the stronger finishers (even if Rosey's Hollow was a more questionable reference point!)"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

…and from what I see, isn’t in the Novice Chase markets for March. I doubt this race would be the option.

Off the radar.

I'm not sure he'll be a Festival horse, but if he did end up with a mark they like he could be one for The Plate off ten stone something. He wouldn't particularly want a trip on breeding, and that race should have suited him getting weight against a couple of future stayers.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

He was being rather left out of the post-race discussion, though, and its a brilliant training feat to be in amongst the Mullins quality pair in that race.
His next run will be as interesting a watch as Capo's and GDM's, to see if he goes on or levels off."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".
