I caught this just now. Very interesting from HdB as, whilst he sends horses to Cheltenham for experience, I'm not sure I've seen him send a novice to any other UK tracks before. It could be that he's sending over horses for the Ladbrokes so it makes sense to bring him over too as it fits in with his planning for the horse.

        It does.
and there's very few race in Ireland he can run in from now until Boxing Day.

If he wins then the UK trainers will be pulling their hair out!
Based on the way he finished his last race I think Newbury over 3 miles would really suit too.

                • I've seen 33/1 HDB to win the British trainers championship. Do we think that's possible given how many he's bringing over here for big races?

                    No chance surely

He won the champion hurdle, champion chase, gold cup and grand national last year and didnt win it then

But I guess it is 33/1

No worries. I'm expecting entries for the Saturday card at Fairyhouse to be released at noon or early afternoon today. Keeping an eye out to see if GDC is among the entries in the same Beginners Chase that Monkfish won last year!

Yeah, just had a look and he'd have to make up around 600k on the 1.4mil he got last year, which seems unlikely tbh. I'll stop disrupting the RSA chat now!

More than that even, now prize money has returned to normal, it was much lower last season

                            Amongst the entries are:
                            Capodanno
                            Grand Paradis
                            Gars De Sceaux

                            • Opener at Fairyhouse on Saturday has Minella Melody, Capadonno, Gars De Sceaux, Fury Road and others entered.

Monkfish won it last season and Carefully Selected the year before.

Really nice looking beginners if a few stand their ground. Should we be a bit worried about GDC given stable tour said he was pretty much ready to go & be one of the first out? Hopefully it’s nothing
