We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

The point is - he looks miles better than any of the others so the trip wouldn't matter.
He's the only horse with the class to potentially win open races over the shorter and mid trips.
Too much shit talked about trips.
You should know that as a fan of Honeysuckle.
She'd win the stayers if she ran in that.[/QUOTE
I'm not at all convinced he'll better than JWM, Stage Star or IAM over the Ballymore trip. Honeysuckle and Sir G are mile's apart. She's proved herself time and time again. SG has won a Cheltenham Bumper. I don't think we can call him class just yet.

Obviously time has passed.
But any idiot could see Honeysuckle was a class above.
Same here IMO.
He could lose though, I'll give you that.
But at this stage he looks a class above his opponents.
Like Honey did when I put 16pts on her to win the Mares Novice hurdle. (still bothers me that injury)
Sir G to beat TSl, Straight forecast, job done. One's the quickest horse in the race than the other I expect to improve for the trip yet still has plenty of pace himself. The rest have to go silly hard or it surely plays to these pairs strength.
I really like Sir Gerhard for the champion hurdle next year as he has tactical speed, but he remains vulnerable to a end to end gallop and heavy ground until proven otherwise. Especially at the price he is now, way too short
The race at Punchestown remains lodged in my mind, SG found little in that race and went backwards. Yeah could have improved for freshness or age... but it remains there until he proves he stays. I may be harsh on him given that was a bumper where there was no rest bite, compared to hurdling on a undulating track.
He's all speed, he has to be the quickest novice going at the moment. He wins this race unless something makes this into a end to end gallop
- Surely the Jockey on Third Stripe Life has to do something different, then again, not sure if front running will suit
- JVM has taken the lead on both of her hurdle runs, doubt it suits. The 2m4f / 3miler will have little chance against SG if there's no pace.
I assume Adamantly Chosen will run elsewhere, he's a keen sort and SG wont want that going off in front.
For me, this is all down to Rachael and Jack/Davy. They only have 4-6 furlongs to get SG beat before it becomes a 2 mile race, with the best 2 milers in the race. They need to stretch him early and all the ay throughout
7-8 runner field, again falls into SG favour. Same with Good Ground, on the old course. All stacks up.
Will be so interesting to see if something tries and take him on from the off!
It just wins. Think Willie sending him here is a Pointer that he thinks it will stay. An extra few furlongs on goodish ground is hardly extreme. Most experts say the speedier horse wins the ballymore
An extra few furlongs is 2. This is 5 extra furlongs - more than half a mile. The speedy horse does win, but recently its been the speedy horse that has proven to stay.
Bob Olinger proven over 2m4 and gave Ferny a cracking race over 2m. Envoi Allen proven over 2m4 and won a grade 1 2m novice. Samcro proven over 2m4 and won a grade 1 2m novice. Yorkhill won over 2m4 and won a grade 1 2m novice.
SG is the class horse in the race, no doubt. But I wouldn't be confident from his racecourse appearances that the step up will see SG at his best.
The opposition doesn't appear to be the best and he may get away with it but over the last 2 years more odds on shots have been beaten at Cheltenham than won and SG wouldn't be near the top of the list of the odds on shots to prevail for me.

It'd be interesting how people would rank them, 1 being strongest. Maybe needs it's own thread but of the shorties I think I'd go with:
1. Honeysuckle
2. Sir Gerhard
3. Allaho
4. Shishkin
5. Facile Vega
