  • JWM no chance in a Ballymore - he should be in the spud race this year. Will get tapped for toe big time vs other players in the Ballymore

    • Looks like he needs futher to me, but think he'll run here next month.

        • Journey With Me is going to be some 3-mile chaser. Proper galloper & will improve further for fences.

One of the 2-milers stepping up in trip to do him for toe at Cheltenham?

          • He’s just looks like a proper stayer to me. I know it was off a slow pace, but up against speedier types he wouldn’t have seen which way they went over the last couple.

            • “We said we'd sit him in as he's always making it but after half a mile @rachaelblackmor had to go on. He's still a bit green in front. Further will suit I hope. Nothing is set in stone but I'd say I'd be going for the Ballymore."

Really strange - 'further would suit but I'd go for ballymore'.

2f further doesn't really count as further to me before anyone says that...

                  Agreed.

                  Full quotes are:

We're happy with that. We just said we'd sit him in and see if he'd be happy enough to settle away as he's always making it. In a normal race he would have been but after half a mile Rachael had to go on. He was good, still a bit green in front, but I'm happy with him.

“Obviously further will suit him, I hope. Nothing is set in stone but I'd say, in my head, I'd be going for the Ballymore. That's two-five. We'll discuss it with connections, today was great and we'll enjoy that.”

                      • JFM basically just ran in a 1 mile 5F race and all I'm hearing is hes not quick enough.

                        Nonsense of a race.

If he had no pace, he doesnt win today.

                        He did win.

                        • Agreed. Very odd quote. Perhaps he’s had his orders from Robcour and the ‘discuss with connections’ is to step him up to the AB?

Indeed. Feels like an awful lot of pocket talking going on.

It definitely sounds like the decision is out of his hands to me...

Little bit different having the 'pace' to beat Choice of Words to who he'll be up against in the Ballymore, chalk and cheese.
