  • The only reason Hollow Games and Ginto are facing each other is because Elliott can't split them at home. If he could they wouldn't be meeting here. So if Gordon is using the race to decide their targets, how to split them up, and where they are in the wider pecking order, we have literally no chance of doing so before the race.

As for Journey With Me, his intended route to the Festival is via the race Henry sends his Bartlett horses. They are already loudly on record as saying that's the race for him, and Henry has referenced him being a stayer again post race. I think the only way he goes to the Ballymore is if we get a soft or heavy ground Festival. If it's usual conditions I'd be pretty sure he goes to the Bartlett. The other Robcour horses will slot into the Ballymore and Supreme, as has been said all along.

I thought Gerri Colombe ran a nice Ballymore trial himself the other day anyway. He also looked sure to come on for it too. I'd also rule out handicaps given it's highly unlikely he'll get three runs in before the Festival. He's too good to burn that way.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

has he? I’m not so sure…

regarding not doing much at home, who cares!?!

….perhaps the exception is Whatdeawant. Ballymore name checked in the Mullins stable tour & again after his debut win, the owner sponsors the race.

Blue on Oddschecker for this ahead of the Lawlors, as low as 12-1 PP, remains a best price 18-1 365. We’ll soon know if he’s good enough.

I asked this on another post but have Robcour explicitly said that they will split up their horses? I know the Morans stated it early on but I don’t recall the same from Robcour (every chance I missed it though).

            • WH early odds for the Lawlors

              HG 11/8
              Ginto 15/8
              Whatdeawant 4/1
              Grand Jury 7/1
              22/1 bar

I'd take the 2/1 Dutch bet on Whatdeawant and Grand Jury at those odds.

Have a a nibble at a boosted 5/1 about Whatdeawant, he tapped Ginto for toe in their bumper on similar going, Ginto staying on into 2nd would be ideal for my Cheltenham tickets

….Whatdeawant has a certain target - Ballymore. Money for it in that market ahead of Lawlors, into as low as 12-1 with PP whilst still 18-1 with 365.

If anybody fancies it for the Lawlors, the 50-1 with Sky for it to then win the Ballymore might be interesting.

                      • If anybody doesn't have Hollow Games for this, he is still 33s with Coral.

Thanks Eggs. Will take that. The only one with a confirmed target (although I see him as the most AB of the lot). Don’t truly fancy him tomorrow but a great way to get him covered and if he doesn’t beat them tomorrow, he won’t at the fez.

                          • Hubrisko for this anyone? Interesting entry, a few of mullins runners has gone onto the AB but looks like this one has the alot of pace from debut.

sorry its left field and all the chat is about the lawlors but finding the race uninspiring.

Yeah I'm probably going to cash my supreme slips tomorrow and get them on for this if he wins comfortably, you could probably get a decent win today and any race offer too I reckon

It's an interesting one as you say he showed plenty of pace and I initially thought he would be a supreme horse but this entry has me stumped. No idea what to do with him but really want him onside as I think he could be very decent.
