  • Any love for Stage Star?
Seems to be going under the radar and probably the best this side of the Irish Sea for this.

Yeah thought I would have come home from work and read a few posts on him after that performance, was rather good I thought.
Plenty of chat about Kilcruit though, licking wounds I guess.

      • Just watched JWM, did nothing wrong and looked like a horse that will be a threat in this race.
To be honest I ain’t got a clue, it’s so wide open with no stand out at all.
Whatdeawant I have so far, and will wait for NRNB now.
I am quiet interested in a couple of fancied supreme horses.

          • I don't think JWM will appear here. Robcour have got Gerri Colombe and Grand Jury for this.

Grand Jury is still 50/1 with Ladbroke, which is a crazy price. I think he will run well in the Lawlors and be shorter in a few days.

that is a good price to be fair. Form of his win the last day looks useful. Will help myself to some of that…

                • Watched race for first time. My take is that JWM could run in either race. Plenty of pace (had everything bar Kilcruit at it quite far out) and plenty of stamina (not stopping at the line). Think Cheltenham will really suit and he'll love the hill. Very good jumping performance from one so inexperienced. No doubt he'll be entered for both. It could come down to ground. The ground on the Wednesday is normally slower than the Friday so that may be a factor. Also, Gordon/jockey did imply that Gerri Colombe could be suited to further which may mean he'll take in the Albert. So IMO Journey is at this time more likely to run in the Ballymore but it's not a given. He's a very good horse whatever the decision.

                    • Makes sense to give it a go. This race is far more open than the supreme isn't it. And Henderson clearly has a good idea how he compares to Jonbon and Constitution Hill. 16s could look alright.

I watched the Gerri Colombe race the other day , I thought he looked like a big old unit ,a bit cumbersome ,
that the bartlett would suit, J.W.ME yesterday i was expecting the same, but pleasantly surprised to see he has some gears too.
So i think at the moment you might have it right Lobos , We'll learn more in their next races .

                          • Looking at the market… it’s still wide-open… there MUST be value to be had.

Journey With Me - Here or AB
                            Sir Gerhard - Supreme
                            Dysart Dynamo
                            Stage Star

                            Constitution Hill - Supreme
Mighty Potter - Here or Supreme
Ginto - Here or AB (or Pipe)
                            Classic Getaway - ????
I Am Maximus - Here or Supreme
                            Minella Cocooner
                            O’Toole
                            Kilcruit - Not good enough?
                            Jonbon - Supreme
My Mate Mozzie - Here or Supreme
Balco Coastal - Not good enough?
                            Blazing Khal - AB
                            Whatdeawant
Three Stripe Life Here or Supreme
Gerri Colombe - Here or AB

The ones in Bold I would have this as their most likely target.
                            3 of which are Mullins’
Odds would suggest that DD is the #1 for Mullins. Not even run over the trip yet, but at least half the price of the other two.

I’m sure that some of the “either/or” horses will come here, but it looks potentially weaker than either Supreme or AB.

The Ballymore was my initial thoughts when watching his bumper win against My Drogo, didn't look like stopping after the line.
Was swayed by popular opinion and now sat on several Supreme tickets (cash out withdrawn).
Him bolting up over the mid-distance on NYD would be a bitter pill to swallow!
