This was going about when he was entered over 2m6f and Wasn’t the stat not about running over further than the ballymore trip in the season and only faugheen had done it.

Yep, that's a more general stat but the starting out at 2 miles relates to Gordon's Ballymore runners only.
Yes don’t believe the 888 tour is based on any interviews with Gordon or anybody else in the yard. Still the market move would be a bit encouraging.
The actual quote from the stable tour is
"Gerri Colombe doesn’t do anything fancy at home, but he’s been very good on the track. He won both his bumpers very well last season and we are going to go novice hurdling with him. He’ll probably start off at two miles, but I could see him stepping up to two-and-a-half miles as the season progresses. We are quite excited about him."
If they think he could be very good, I can't see him being their Pipe horse.

I've obviously backed Gerri Colombe for the Ballymore at 40's, but I'll be surprised if he's the eventual winner of the race. His performances have been OK, but his figures on everything known don't excite me for this race. I'm thinking my next bet on him will be the any race option at 14/1. I'd much prefer Journey With Me, for the race, under the same ownership, but vibes from them seem to be pointing towards the Bartlett.
If Willie is actually sending Sir Gerhard down that route then he'd be the serious option, but is no price now unfortunately.
Dysart Dynamo is definitely of interest too, and coupled with Saxon Warrior work regarding the bumper he run and won at Punchestown as a pointer towards this race means he is near the top of the list for me.
Someone posted a link to Gerri Colombe’s PTP win yesterday which I can’t seem to find, but he jumped the last behind and rallied to get back up on the line so he’s a genuine horse who will battle, another skillset you like to see in a horse…
And whilst the runner up from that PTP looks to be a total pig the third, now with Connor O’Dwyer, recorded an RPR of 128 when runner up in his rules debut…

I dont know why.. but ive had a feeling for a while now that DD will be one of Willies handicap horses... i think with SG and Kilcruit it seems to make sense (assuming they are as good as we expect them to be)
We'll know with both Willie and Gordon when something with promise runs too bad to be true.
Incidentally the aforementioned Saint Felicien is one I'm watching out for with a handicap in mind. I think Gordon will look to manipulate his mark for the Pipe.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Yeah, as soon as it was pointed out yesterday he wasn’t a novice I thought County or Pipe, fully expect him to be looked after…
Someone who knows the owners has told me to back hendersons balco coastal for the ballymore
I was fairly cool on the idea but then I noticed hills are a standout 50/1 and read nickys stable tour comments on him
"He is a horse that I hope has a very big future and when we he won his first bumper at Kempton we thought he was very special. He had always worked well at home, and we kept him for the Aintree bumper but he just didn't show up that day. He jumps exceptionally well and has plenty of speed so we will start him over two miles over hurdles. He should have little trouble getting further and we hope he can prove just how good he is."

Decided it was worth a small bet at 50s
Yeah, he was one I backed early doors. I really liked his Kempton bumper, where he looked really very good. Next time out was disappointing though, but I took the punt anyway.
He's from the same p2p that Gentlemansgame won, so there is some substance to it, as that one, whilst not quite being up to the top level did show some really useful form last season.
I'd imagine he probably will not be good enough to win the race, but at 50/1 he sure is an interesting E/W play.
