Obviously the tour cant include every horse he has but theres a few average horses in there and you'd have thought he would have made the list.
Didn't he leave Galopin des Champs out?
It's possible I'm wrong, but if not, hmmmmm...................Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

He won his maiden at Auteuil, he's a beautiful horse. I'm sure he'll be in the staying division of hurdlers but in future I'm really looking forward to getting him over fences.
He was in there mate.

I did some research on this race last year when looking at it and I found bumper wins post Spring we're a reoccurring trend. I think the only winner in the last 10 was Willoughby Court to have no won a bumper in the spring. He had won 2 bumpers before Christmas and was 5th in the big one at Aintree.
Bob Olinger - W 2m2f bumper at Gowran Park March
Envoi - W 2m1f Champion Bumper at Festival March
City Island - W 2m Bumper at Punchestown May
Samcro - W 2m Bumper at Fairyhouse April
Willoughby Court - 5th at Aintree April
Yorkhill - W 2m bumper at Punchestown May
Windsor Park - W 2m bumper at Galway Aug
Faugheen - W 2m bumper at Punchestown May
The New One - W 2m bumper at Aintree April
Simonsig - W 2m bumper at Fairyhouse April
Barcardys was massively impeded in WC's win after winning the Aintree bumper the year before. Windsor Park also won a bumper in Jan at Leopardstown. With the exception of the Gowran bumper the rest are all the biggest festivals.
Some horse who ran in this race without winning a bumper or winning a bumper in the Spring
2013 - Pont Alexandra 3rd 6/4f
2015 - Nichols Canyon 3rd 7/2f
2016 - Yanworth 2nd 11/10f
2017 - Neon Wolf 2nd 2/1f - won a bumper at Christmas before Cheltenham.
2018 - Battleoverdoyen PU 3/1f - won a bumper at Punchestown at the end of Nov.
2018 - Champ 2nd 9/2 - had a run over hurdles in the spring the year before.
2020 - Gallard Du Mesnil - 2nd 9/4 had been beat in several bumpers in france.
2020 - Bravemansgame - 3rd 4/1 had been beat in 2 bumper pre-Christmas the year before
I am hoping to use this to identify non-winners as well as a potential winner.

Post winer is probably a better term , I suppose i included Windsor Park winning at Galway which to be fair is a big summer festival in Ireland but the other ones are either Cheltenham/Aintree/Fairyhouse or Punchestown with Bob's win at Gowran being the least fancy.

Its analysis I’d never considered before and I’m still not sure how to assess it. It would rule out two of my three selections (Three Stripe Life, Gerri Colombe and Dysart Dynamo) for the race and I’m not sure I’m prepared to do that

Looking at him in the parade ring, one would think he's a chasing type. However, we're going hurdling this season. Being able to win bumpers at Clonmel and Punchestown during the last campaign probably means he'll be able to compete over shorter trips.
