    Hopefully Dysart dynamo

agree that hollow games looks tailor made for the bartlett
Same for me. Just feel that the ballymore winner would usually have a bit more toe than Ginto looks to have.

Obviously he could go and bolt up in a graded race next time out and head straight to the festival, but at this point he’d be looking like the 2nd string for both trainers and owners in either of the graded novice hurdles
Which Robcour horse do you think he’d be 2nd string to for this? grand Jury?

      • Not sure if it's been mentioned on RTV today as i've not been properly concentrating, but interesting that those there at Naas today saying there's a very strong headwind.

Based on today’s result I’d say so yeah, think today’s race will work out to be good form & you can probably mark the performance up given yard been under a bit of a cloud (4 wins in last 73)

Whatdeawant's slip at such crucial time didn't help. If the books push it out, might be some Mullins value here.
Agree re Whatdeawant. For Ginto I would say that he was in the ideal place. Haven't watched it back yet bit seemed to have an easy enough time in front and avoided some of the scrimmage approaching the bend - think he'd have won most ways the race was run, but think he had the ideal race to win as he did.

            • I like Ginto alot but I do feel there's a lack of a real superstar for this race.

Would have to be a massive red flag given how these things usually play out...

I can't really understand why Dysart Dynamo is a single figure price (9/1) for this, after winning a maidan against sod all, easily.... we've just seen a rock solid, deep looking trial for the race and you can back the winner at 8/1

                    That is absolutely bonkers.

I understand he might not run here, could go AB, but he's mega short...I assume people are talking with bigger priced slips for him and it's clouding things

                    • I’d like to see classic getaway run away with Munster hurdle this week and put himself in picture. Not seen entries for tolworth yet, but be surprised if DD doesn’t go for Moscow flyer.

He wont have any entries, there arent any races - theres nowhere for him to run in Ireland until one race over 2M close to the end of this month (Moscow Flyer race?).

The DRF early entries close on 12th January, if he isnt entered in the two Grade 1's there, then you'd be worried.

Theres one race after the DRF too.

The Irish Race Programme forces Maiden winners into Graded races, it doesnt mean the trainers rate them as Graded winners, theres just nothing else to run in.

There are very few Novice Races (winners of 1, or 2) that give them other opportunities, prior to Graded races which is completely different to Britain.

While he was entered today, WPM doesn't really tend to great with his Lawlor's runners come March.....Wouldn't be too worried as luck as he's not injured.

As SW says DRF entries will reveal more...

He was tipped up i think wasn't he?

                          • why has Ginto not booked a Ballymore place , just won the Lawlor's by over 4 lengths , the Ballymore is another furlong up hill would suit down to the ground , Envoi Allen only won the Lawlor's by 3 lengths and he was meant to be a superstar , if they reckon Hollow Games is a Ballymore horse then owners should save the bus fare he has no chance in that , 3 miler all day , as expected was getting outpaced 3f out before keeping on

                              • Quite interesting that all the tipster value merchants yesterday highlighted Whatdeawant who went favourite overnight but the smart stable money came late for Ginto. Two favourite flip flops.
