  • Gerri Colombe is GE best novice hurdler. Still cannot believe he’s 40/1, I can’t get any more on and will have to back him at 33s now. He’s the Best Ante Post Bet at this moment in time

He ran 3 in it last year, and 2 of them were shit.

Entered in a race at the weekend that Gordon has started his Martin Pipe horses out in previous years.

        • Doddiethegreat and Hob House entered over 2m 5f at Kempton next Monday. With Firestep + others, unearthing Nicky's Ballymore horse at this moment in time would be some task.

          • Three Stripe did it fairly well but like a few have said they were not convinced to have him as a bet. I have him down as a Sky Request-a-Bet place any race kinda bet

Remember horses making their start in races over 2 miles have rarely won Ballymore

I agree I think 40/1 is a great price and have snapped that up as well. With all the comments about Journey With Me needing a trip and not looking speedy, I'm 90% sure that he will go Bartlett, and this race looks winnable for Elliot, compared to some of the other big races where he looks a little short at the moment.

Gerri Colombe was purchased for ?240,000 and won his Rules debut by 24 lengths then defied a penalty to score at Naas , which Codd said how he was impressed how he put the race to bed that day!

I do think he's the one for this race rather than the Martin Pipe.

                • Not sure what he's beaten there, but visually that was an impressive performance from Brave Kingdom. Absolutely cruised through it and jumped very nicely.

                      Entry at Naas at weekend.

Anyone have an update on Saint Felicien, a horse they bought from France and sent to Elliott.
Won a 20k race on debut at Auteuil, I assumed he would be the Morans main Ballymore horse but is only quoted for the Supreme...

He's owned by Robcour but won't be a novice for the festival.

OK thanks, hadn;t realised that, just checked and his Auteuil win was in March so obviously that is the case.
Someone should tell Sky who quote him for the Supreme...

                          • Taken from an 888 stable tour:

                            Gerri Colombe

This fella looks special. Having been purchased for ?240,000 by Robcour at the Festival Sale, he absolutely bolted up on his Rules debut to win by 24 lengths.

He then defied a penalty to score cosily at Naas and he falls into the ‘could be anything’ bracket. Jamie Codd was certainly impressed at how he put the race to bed that day!

Soft ground and a step up in trip should eek out further improvement. He could follow in the footsteps of fellow Robcour star Bob Olinger by taking the Lawlor’s of Naas en route to Cheltenham.

Sky won't give a shit as long as they can take money off someone. It didn't help when a well(ish) known podcast mentioned him for novice races too

He was my first selection for the Ballymore back in March and, other than that rogue entry over 2m6f, I'm still of the belief he'll be a player here.
