cheers, Archie. I can’t make my mind up on this race now. I have my doubts SG will stay the trip. But i’m unsure what else is good enough to win. If it turned up proper soft, I think there’s a strong case to say Ginto might outstay everyone. But then, given the Ballymore is often a “go slow then sprint race” and a reasonable Champion Hurdke trial, I don’t see him winning it.
I’m not sure who I like anymore. Really wanted DD to run here.
Potentially decision made on Sir Gerhards target? - into 2.76 on the machine and CPS were to make a decision mid week as I recall.
Someone said on the PP preview chat last night (pinch of salt required!) that they'd had a chat with Willie and someone else (can't remember the name but they were a bloodstock agent) at Leopardstown and apparently SG to Bally and DD to Sup was the way they were going. Apparently it was suggested to them that the other way round made more sense on breeding but the response was that DD doesn't act like it.
Essentially it's whether Sir G is left in, owners won't refuse to stump up.
I'm going 100%
Also, the exchanges wouldn't have it t'other way if DD had a chance of not being in?
I'm excited for tomorrow but won't learn anything probably
No. I just think the exchange is suggesting decision is made.
And perhaps Sir G owners would say just leave him in the ballymore then.
I'd say Willie would want to keep him in both, but maybe they're saying No.
Makes sense for both to be left in Ballymore though for sure.

Thoguht we were in the Supreme thread actually
I hope they do just decide. Will save another 5 days of flapping gums/thumbs.

It's a tricky one for Mullins, with those type of owners.
If he tells them he thinks the best race is the ballymore for their horse with Townend on board.
It's difficult to then say to the owners, "but leave him in the supreme just in case DD gets a stone bruise"
If Sir Gerhard does come here with the best 2m form we have seen this season and doesn't win, you'd be pretty sick as an owner that he didn't go for the Supreme wouldnt you?

Especially seeing as they already won the Ballymore with Envoi. Must be gutting to get lamped in the Supreme with Ballyadam last year. Cmon Thompson do the right thing and stick SG in the Tuesday and let Dysart do the job here

My gums and thumbs are well and truly flapped, Kev. Took a few days away from everything to let things settle and get a break from the endless speculation. Just want some answers now!
I wish I could remember how the 6 day decs went last year. Have a vague memory that the fields were cut down a lot more than I expected, but can't be certain. Mullins will probably be the exception anyway.

And on the flip side, if Dysart goes and loses in the Supreme you'd have to be gutted as the owner, when he could have gone for an 'easier' option. She's not had a potential 'superstar' before but Cheveley have had a fair few, and they get their runner in the 'easier' race. I know I'd be gutted if it were me. She may not give a s**t of course.
Both were at the Curragh this morning and all went well. Dysart 'settled' and SG 'jumped very well'
Ruby is one pushing DD for the Ballymore and they do think he'll settle if they leave him in front to go at his own speed.
From what I know I think it will go that way but exchanges obviously showing different...
Kilcruit they think is back in top form, Patrick rides & Tongue Tie on.
Keep fighting the good fight Ruby! Thanks for this though. At least we don't need to worry about them being fit and well... All this exchange stuff is driving me crazy
Willie does seem to be doing some un-Willie like things lately which is making me concerned
