  • Right decision for me. I know people thinks he’s a bit slow. And I do a bit. But everything about his profile is right for this race on a trends basis.

Yeah agree he has a lot going for him. I feel like he outstayed them all in lawlors so MAY be better suited to the Bartlett, but he's won the premier Irish trial for this race so is fully entitled to come here with a big chance.

          • Ginto ..... He's the best of the 'not speedy' horses... and there will only be 1 of them....

6/1 NRNB e/w... can't be 3 better horses than him in this race. Can't be!

Agree with this as well. Gonna have to figure out how to get him onside tomorrow...

              • Walking On Air is entered at Ascot on Saturday for Nicky Henderson.

Just looking through the previous few runnings of the race, Henderson has had a couple of big talking horses beaten in the race.

Last year, 2021, Gallyhill was beaten after opening up fav but drifting to 13/8.

He ran Pipesmoker the year before, who was beaten by Sporting John (fav) for Hobbs. (2020)

In 2019 he had I Can't Explain pull up as fav.

2018, another fav beaten in Dame De Compagnie (2nd by a nose!) - went on to win a handicap though...

Beyond Conceit did get the better of future festival winner (handicap that season) Topofthegame in 2017.

Doesn't really mean anything, but mildly interesting.

                  He wins the Ballymore regardless

..Only if Sir Gerhard doesn't turn up in it though

Prepared myself to be disappointed now

Surely you've looked at the other entries Kev, and therefore it's obvious what beats Walking On Air!
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

500 to lay for Bartlett if I’m reading it right? Might be time to prepare for injury to be announced
