  • O'Toole will be a good horse to get notched on JWMs bed post. He's an absolute giant of a horse who should be in everyone's tracker for next year but JWM should be putting him away over hurdles to be in with a shout for any race.

      Correct.

They see O'Toole as a future Gold Cup horse.

I'm confident I read that he won't have any 'big dances' this year too...

      • Lots of blue for Sir G in this tonight, I know its probably pundits banging the drum for him.

I'll let him win at the prices if he goes here.

A couple of pundits on podcast, that's all.

Yeah, and plenty of bookmaker games going on too.

Exchanges just aligning with the bookmaker prices too, I would imagine.

                • To be fair to connections, they will get their soft ground this weekend at Naas so can't say they haven't planned well if that was a 'must' for them on his next run!

Tasty race that. JWM will do well to brush O'Toole and Hi Ho Phoenix aside with little fuss. I expect the former to go really well.

Very interested in O'Toole also, big player next season I reckon

Maybe but he could be another one that gets overly protected until his gold cup season. They obviously think he’s very good but will they just look for easy races to win all season? I’d be wary backing him for anything

                        • Otoole for me is right up there. If he was going to the fez I'd have him right up favourite for this. I know connections have said about the gold cup in the future, but I loved his turn of foot in his last race.

If journey with me wants to win the Ballymore, he'll have to beat O'Toole. Which I'm not sure he will.

I'm contradicting myself here I know, but if O'Toole is being trained as a future stayer for the gold cup, does beating him over 2m,3f hold much water for JWM.

Head scratches and probably should just be patient

                          • Surprised how short Journey With Me is for tomorrow. It looks a very competitive race . Clearly there's lots of confidence behind him. If he wins well he will surely go favourite for this.

                            • O'Toole got to be a player tomorrow hasn't he. I know they're saying it's all about the future with him but he's clearly got a lot of class. Can get him in at an e/w price as well.

Might even send Journey to the AB if he's outpaces him
