  • ….Diol Ker has an entry for Giggi & I understand is qualified via his Thystes 4th. No idea if Meade is sending it over, or if Kim Muir is more likely but it’s only entry to date is this (10-1 PP nrnb; 33-1 Lad antepost).

Not had a ride in a point since December 2020, and only had 4 rides in the entirety of 2020

        • RWF is one of favs in National betting....not watched weights, but assume he has a decent one?

Is there any history of running the 4m at Cheltenham, then going GN? I know it works great with CC, but that's a v diff race

Certainly would look unusual to run Sun, Chelt and GN....so if he starts (and finishes) Sunday, then surely big choice

Do you think her role at the stable has changed in recent times?
Doesnt appear to be a rider in anything but Bumpers now.

He’s off his Irish mark so hardly wildly well in especially given it was perceived he got a pretty steep hike for winning the troytown. Even if they were expecting a few lbs more I don’t really see how being allotted that mark could have drastically altered any plans they may have had

              • She's doing media as well now on RTE. Like with Jamie Codd, she's like an assistant trainer. I guess these big stables such as Mullins and Elliott really need a management team behind the main trainer.

I really do feel Gordon is going all out to try and be top trainer this year at Cheltenham. Last year seems to have given him an extra incentive, on top of being a handicap specialist, though of course with the odd top drawer grade 1 inmate as well.

I thought she was Gordon's assistant trainer these days and did some punditry work for RTE

He looks terribly handicapped to me off a mark in the high 150s

hed need to be a proper grade 1 horse to win off that mark

Maybe it's as simple she doesn't fancy riding over fences anymore. Has she had any bad injuries?

Thats my thoughts. Gord said could run in NHC then go National. By running Sunday instead of Festival he'll have a longer break before Aintree which makes huge sense if the National is the main aim. I don't see him running in both the Ten up and the NHC. One or the other prior to the GN.

                        • Don't see the major issue with Codd.
Giggy don't typically use him (in general) - since 2012 I think Gordon/Giggy have never used him and Giggy have used him once in this race so no shock and no pointer towards race plans.

Think Lisa is the most likely - rides all of Gordon/Giggy in the NHC over the years. Granted not as active these days...

yep - that makes sense, unfortunately. It'll feel like we've backed a winner if RWF is a non-runner at the weekend

                              That's a major negative though isn't it?

Lisa O'Neill turning up to ride?

Stattler will be a justified fav if she's riding RWF?
