          • Braeside 20/1 EW NRNB looks a great bet for this now with Jamie looking like he will ride him at Cheltenham

Tricky one, what will his odds do after the race and how will he run Sunday ?

Yeah I’m holding off for the time being, Beacon Edge and Farouk are 2 good horses.

                  • Got a sick feeling RWF may be routed elsewhere you know. That quote in the RP from Gordon when you actually read it back “The NHC is made for RWF. It’s a race that second season novices run well in & he ticks a lot of boxes for it”

On reflection, he’s only telling us what we know. He doesn’t say words like ‘aim’ or ‘straight there & Jamie will ride’ which he has in past seasons.

Got some lovely dockets I fear for a bit after being declared Sunday….hope I’m wrong though

Risky, when it's NRNB and BOG, to leave the Elliott / Codd horse... what if he runs well?

If he doesn't, you can get out of it easily or leave it and get out closer to the time...

You could even back again at bigger prices, as there is just no way an Elliott horse is going off 20/1 by the day in the race is there?

                      • No brainer at nrnb to back it as if it flops badly they might skip the NHC anyway.

The Thyestes race is working out well so even in this grade if it can stay on strong in 3rd or so it will be a lovely prep.

Braeside of course is also a second season novice - gonna have to get him onboard now...

Tricky indeed. Already qualified . Can't see him winning Sunday but if he places and Gordon comes out afterwards and says RWF goes straight to Aintree and Codd rides Braeside at Cheltenham then his odds will plummet. If he gets thumped then he won't go to Fez.

                            • Maybe there is something in the the Codd not riding Giggs town horses..

                                That's one scenario.
Do you want to run through all the others ?

I backed it again anyway, didn't take long.
