Will Codd ride RWF or Braeside as I don’t know if rides for Gigginstown?

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Run Wild Fred (11st 1lb) “That looks a lovely weight for him. He could go for something like the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham but he could be a National horse after that. He was second in last year’s Irish Grand National and he ticks a lot of boxes. He’s a big staying chaser and he could easily be a Grand National horse. He has that touch of class about him as well"
He could go............ummmmmLast edited by Lobos; 16 February 2022, 08:43 PM.

Just looking through Vanillier races it did strike me that his best runs which have resulted in wins have all been in big fields. Perhaps he just likes more horses around him and truly run races. He'll certainly get that again in March.

I’m going to take a stab at Fantastikas 33/1 NRNB for this.
Has done well over fences so far running 4 decent races, winning 2 of them. Both defeats are looking like decent form as well. The main stumbling block is the mention of the Scottish National. Now I think it will be either this race or the Scottish National, if he doesn’t run here he won’t turn up and be kept for the Scottish National which is under 20 days later imo.
I’m against Stattler who is fav, purely because he’s been so short for this all season and the WPM hotpot in this rarely wins. RWF is covered, as is Ontheropes who needs to bounce back if coming here, but it’ll likely be a prep run for the National for him, connections have said he just stays all day which is a good sign I suppose. Then there’s only 1 or 2 you could make cases for imo between those and then getting down to Fantastikas with a good few looking like going elsewhere. If he comes here he’s definitely going to be a lot shorter than 33/1 that’s for sure.
