  • I’m really confused if “I wasn’t helping myself” was aimed at my comment. There didn’t appear to be an obvious reason why he was singled out in being removed (many others in the betting in the same boat) and was just bringing a fact and a question to the forum. Is there somewhere better where such observations should be raised, as I really don’t wish to step on any toes I was just trying to enlighten myself and I know the forum is indefinitely better connected than myself.

It's just my opinion but if Stattler don't run in the 3 miler at Naas at the end of the month, I think they will run in Dublin and see how he stacks up for the shorter races.
En Beton may run at Naas though, or both.
But Stattler looks most in danger of not getting qualified to me.
If connections have backed him for it, then I'd expect he won't run in Dublin though.
All guesswork though so we'll see.

              Don't worry about it
Think some are getting a bit paranoid that's all.

                Spot on Scooby.

I think they ran on Sunday rather then the 3M Grade 3 at Naas in two weeks, partly because the timing between races is more suitable for Capodanno to then go to the Ten Up.

If he's entered in the NHC it's definitely because they're going to the Ten Up. (No point rendering the NHC otherwise)

The only Novice race over 3M in Ireland that he can run in to qualify (outside of the Naas one in 2 weeks time which Stattler most probably runs in).

Don't worry about it.. as he's entered...

But imo Unless he was a fairly likely runner in the NHC, imo he was very doubtful to be entered... and a mention of him upon entries... wouldn't be wise when 365.. have a small limit of cash outs in a short space before they suspend or remove...

And exactly as he was talked about on here, he was suspended...

as if there was no 3 mile race next, or he went straight there, it would be a pointless entry

                      Really ??
Why does Willie want so many qualified for a grade 2 ?
Capodanno is more likely cos of JP and O'connor, surely ?
I suppose they may go with Stattler for Patrick.
But i think Patrick will be left with a choice of the 2 cheveley park horses myself.

I think even Willie has been left surprised at how many of his horses have taken so well to chasing and given him an even bigger army of options for a few races.

Capodanno in particular has done well in showing everyone what he's all about and I'm hopeful that Capodanno is his best shot at the NHC. I think if Willie sees things that way too then it seems silly to play for places in the other novice chases obviously the problem lies in the fact that Stattler and En Beton are in a similar boat. I still think Capodanno is his biggest player for this but that's all subjective.

I'd be very surprised if he runs more than 2.

Me too, I am confident Capodanno will be one and beyond that possibly Stattler, I think Cheveley Park Stud are going to be the least bothered about going here with them winding down their NH operation so he'd be my casualty.

                            • I could see Ontheropes going the Irish National as he seems much better right handed.

I totally forgot Cheveley had OTR too, I guess I'd written him off subconsciously already.
