I would be confident of that. The only concern I'd have is it means a change of thinking by the parties involved whereas Gordon/Willie have planned their targets for this. At least we think Willie has, but he still has enough time to get horses qualified.

I'm sticking to Willie and Gordon here. I had Threeunderfive on my radar for this but the owners think otherwise, according to their Twitter post at the weekend.

From a racing history angle, it has the potential to go back someway to what it was, one of the big races of the national hunt calendar. Galvin winning the GC will be the icing on the cake.

    • Any chance we reckon Braeside could rock up here, looks a dour stayer to me. Codd probably more likely to ride as Lisa O'Neil would be on RWF. Obviously Elliott has The Bosses Oscar too though. The owners of Braeside love a Cheltenham winner.

      • Curly any chance you could tell us who is entered in this tomorrow? And the other novice chases if possible?

Seconded. That was an invaluable service you offered last week.

          • Curly Echo this it was very helpful in a time when it’s getting harder to get an edge on bookmakers antepost

            • Caught Gavin Cromwell on RTV earlier more or less saying Vanillier comes here. Don't think that's any sort of news but I haven't been paying particular attention.

              • Cheers Viking. So he's the only horse that has been confirmed for this race so far then and we are just 8 weeks until race day.

                • Unless gavin gets the magic carrots out again its hard to see him winning

Just doesn't look a natural at his fences, slows down instead of attacking them

I agree with this. Given he his mark won't get him into the Kim Muir and there's a month between the Festival and Fairhouse, I'd imagine Braeside runs in this before a tilt at the Irish National.

I think when it all shakes out and some of the bigger names don't come here, he will have a very good chance of running a big race, and can probably place.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Don’t know about the first bit but agree with the second bit. Think if he didn’t have flooring Porter he’d be going for the stayers hurdle to be honest.

                      • Notice that Paddy Power have Capodanno as a non runner in their market for this race at the moment. I thought PP are usually a good guide to the Mullins yard so wondering whether I have missed some news?

Just an error I'd say. Loads in the list aren't qualified.

Explains why my cashout disappeared few days ago!
