Given how Elliott has managed to ruin Galvin’s mark, a statement I’ll happily retract if that one goes close in the Gold Cup, I think he’ll be looking at what his best National chance will be and every chance that’s Run Wild Fred so he could easily be given an easy campaign, at least until Feb, then either swerve Cheltenham and head to Aintree fresh or tackle whichever handicap is easier.
I’d now be surprised if he heads here and the clues were there when Elliott was quiet on RWF in ATR stable tour and named this race as a target for The Bosses Oscar…

Anyone got Oscar Elite on there radar for this? Can be forgiven for his blunder and Tizzard might aim high, but with conditions more likely to suit the first day and a slower start than expected I could see them possibly going down this route. Fiddler and TBB looked speedier novice hurdlers going down the supreme and Ballymore routes before taking in the RSA. Native River went Albert Bartlett before going on to this race. Oscar Elite looks in the same mould as Native River. Big powerful staying chaser. Lots to like with big improvement to come over fences.

Gordon has campaigned him 4 times pre Martin Pipe and perhaps the Gordon fiasco prevented him running more pre Pertemps, so perhaps he needs his runs. I'd like to see him win at Thurles then go to the December meeting over 3m at Cheltenham. That would be perfect cause then he could take a spin over 3m in Jan then get ready for March. Still a bit to prove though but glad to have 36/1

Remember they ran Fiddler & The Big Breakaway in last years RSA as ‘outsiders’ so I think they’ll stick to RSA - IMO
