Fury road is a hard one to assess re target. Has some serious Cheltenham form from two years ago but seemed to lose his way last season. Anyone any thoughts?

Bit harsh FF and Ray - take a look at a replay of the AB and you'll see Fakiera cruising as they came to the second last - then he went out like a light, which was at odds with his previous races.Originally posted by FinalFurlong91 View Post

Don’t know what happened last season, nothing was mentioned as far as I’ve read relating to the lack of form being due to injury or any other cause. IMO a second season over hurdles with him was a mistake anyway and I’ll be keen to see how he gets on tomorrow. 33s for the RSA is tempting me but think I’ll hold off and see how he performs firstOriginally posted by Kautostar View PostComment

I looked at Gordon's previous winners of the race and he has used it 2 from 3 times as a springboard for the National. I'll have a proper look at all of his runners after. I don't think it's something to take much from at first glance. Definite Plan also entered up for Gordon in the Troytown, but is also entered in the amateur riders handicap race at Cheltenham this coming weekend, so will be interesting to see which one, if either, he is declared for. Kim Muir or this race could easily be on the radar for him.Comment

I agree it's no indicator though.
We can get too carried away with the race mapping, for obvious reasons (SW's very useful work)
You should always focus on the many paths you can take on not fixate on one, as if the one path gets blocked you may give up or get stressed about it.
Bit of stoicism for you there.
