First time comment so please don't shoot me down.... at what point will the decision be made for RWF? Is there a point in the NH calender that you know Chelt festival won't be a target?

I suppose the obvious answer is at the entry stage's, but with this horse it will worth listening out for trainer comments around his races.
So I'll be keen to hear what Elliot has to say after his race in Cork.

That was certainly what it made me think!

I'd never do that Clinker, and welcome to the forum.

I think they will already have a campaign mapped out for RWF with one or possibly two seasonal targets. The key will be watching out for entries along the way, as entries always offer clues to the way they may be thinking.

The fly in the ointment is his owner, Michael O'Leary. I suspect Gordon has an idea of what he wants and MOL will decide late.

Are trainers asked to comment on horses if they don’t win or come close. If RWF isn’t involved in the finish (which is probably likely) will somebody still stick a microphone in his face? I certainly hope so as I think I’m anticipating this particular update as much as the whole of the Mullins stable tour ...haha

Edit: With the money that’s come for RWF maybe my question will be moot

I don't think we'll learn a huge amount today tbh, with a view to this that is, unless GE comes out and cites the race specifically afterwards, which is plausible if he gets outpaced, which I suspect he will.

Mark Howard had him down as a horse with this race as his nominated target.

I thought Gars De Sceaux was also crying out for a switch to fences and a step up in trip. I backed them both just in case!!
