I think he is bound to be on the reserve/considered list for the NH chase and the mark is perfect for the Kim Muir, so it may be a case of who is fit and well near the time, and ground and usual stuff.
I've covered him for this as 33-1 is fine for an Elliot horse.
Run Wild Fred seems an obvious choice but Gordon has not gifted us with an entry here so we will have to sit it out for his potential participation, and the nob-eds might have their say, so Gordon may not be able to commit him this far out, cos of them two.
I've covered Bosses Oscar but his lack of experience concerns me.
Hes been handicapped at 140 by BHA

No worries pal, its really interesting and quite an entertaining watch. Makes you realise how important an experienced jockey around Cheltenham is.

Ah right, well as you say if this isn’t the plan he’s at the perfect mark to play with for the Kim Muir Friday will maybe tell us more depending how hard he is trying.

Im similar to you at this stage in trying to almost cover too many of Gordon’s, with RWF and TBO already backed.

The thing with TBO is he can easily have another 3 runs then run in the NHC, although it’s not Gordon’s recent m.o for the race, go back before his recent wins and that’s where the handicap hurdlers had 3/4 chase runs before coming here. Not to the same success of course.

RWF I agree is a little disappointing not to see him entered this weekend, is there anything at the November meeting he could aim him at? I’d much rather he got some course experience if he was the intended NHC runner. If he doesn’t come here he’s in limbo really, too high for the Irish National and couldn’t win it off a lower mark, too high for the Kim Muir and capper will have his mark on the radar and almost certainly not good enough for the grand national.

I had 140 in my head from somewhere (probably you), but went and checked on your diary, on your post for Friday's entries, and you'd put 137 UK, so I went with that.

            Q,

You're right and so is my Diary.
            UK handicap is 137

I got Buddy Rich's 140 mark confused with his, in my earlier post.

              • Do we all agree Gars Des Sceaux is his RSA horse ? Feel we are getting too hot under the collar finding his NHC horse when he's already given it ? ( TBO). Hopefully we all won't miss the prices on GDS as Gordon seems to like him very much based on his Stable Tour.

If Farouk D’Alene can jump straight, I would have him as he #1 or Fury Road.

                    Yes 100%

He is going under the radar with all the talk of Gordon's other horses and the fact we are on all Galopin des Champs. He's definitely a nice price and one I expect to have the right race for.

Agree and the fact that GDM may now be heading elsewhere increases his chances as well. He could be seriously good value at his current odds. Might have to go in again !

I must have missed that, what has been said about GDM going elsewhere?

I backed him in his win in the handicap at Navan over 2m7f and he looked very classy that day and my first were that he was going away after the last jump and could be much better than handicapping. I was looking at the NH chase and the RSA but the comments on his potential seemed to suggest that the RSA will be perfect for him and he will only improve for stepping up that little bit more.

PM said 'its not impossible he stays over hurdles' - fine margins, but thats what was said.

He also said Galopin Des Champ could be a NHC horse. He's a nutter. Likes winding everyone up like his dad.
