  • Both the front 2 got good chances in this. Stattler seemed a bit fiddly at a few fences.

    • Gordon will have a good idea now on Run Wild Fred through Farouk d'Alene and his proximity to Stattler there.

      • Statler gone fav.

You'd think the second and RWF will be split and only one will run here and one in the RSA?

        • I know he was giving weight away but Vanillier isn’t up to winning this is he?

Front two both look like big players.

They also have Beacons Edge and Fury Road.

            • Fairly safe to say any stamina doubts for Stattler are put to bed there.

I hope Gordon comes out and says RWF is better than Farouk ....

Fury Road already beaten RWF, so he probably (hopefully) goes RSA.

Couldn't rule any of them anywhere though, I think the Fury Road NRNB price is well worth taking for this too, 8s.

                • Farouk still 10s NRNB BOG with Bet365 which seems fair if he's not been backed. They may only bring one of him and RWF to this you would think and so either money back or he is going to have Codd or O'Neil on board and be Elliotts number one in this.

Only one entry for Beacon Edge (RSA)

                      • Darren's Hope finished 4th I believe. That still leaves En Beton unqualified if anyone has slips still running on him for the NHC

I've just done this. totally agree as has a length to find and 3 times the price. stattler did outstay him at the end but id be happy to have him onside at that

                          • Doesn't Gord like to give his main NHC dart a good break before the Fez?

And his 2nd string a run around now?, So without sounding silly, RWF is mains dart with Farouk and 2nd string.

Btw I hope Stattler has gained some credit after today after I've been beating the drum for him

                            • Really enjoyed that from Stattler. Not sure how much Farouk is a proper stayer but nice to see him battle well and go away at the line.

Can't give up on a festival winner and even though he likely looks not good enough we've been here before with Vanillier and poor runs before the festival.

                              • “He was a bit novicey but I suppose it was a big step up in class from his first win (over fences) and it told there. I’d imagine that will probably put him into the National Hunt Chase in Cheltenham. A longer trip going a bit steadier will suit him." Willie Mullins - Stattler.
