Yeah, Queens Brook is a poor man's Black Tears.
This race is a very competitive race, and so a horse rated 138 has a hell of a lot to do to even place.
Simply because there is a case that several others already rated higher could improve either through natural progression, the trip,or the way the race will be run (strong pace)
This may suit Queens Brook as well so I wouldn't write her off, but her price is currently wrong, although you can say that about the top 10 in the betting to be fair.
Mrs Milner is also a very poor price right now.
    Both should be double figures.

      • Her current price of 9/1 with sky is absolutely wild. Previous Festival winner, Willie Mullins trained in the mares hurdle, won last time out and Paul surely gets on her over stormy and that will be that, she will be 2nd fav at worst on the day IMO

That'd see him on Dolcita or Augusta Gold in the Mares Chase?

            Can't see it myself.

            • I have produced a post-Quevaga era assessment of the last 7-years Mares Hurdles, and surprisingly on pre-race average RPR's the front of the market are up to scratch with the average rating profiles of the last 7 years, 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses.

              • Royal Kahala confirmed for the Stayers. Very happy with that. One less for TMSG to worry about.

Jane Mangan said on a preview she'd spoken to Peter Fahy and RK goes stayers not mares.

Or is PT going to be on Concertista as I’m sure Danny rides Stormy a fair bit.

Surely this chat is over now?

Stormy Island, Burning Victory, Echoes In Rain and Finest Evermore seem like a very decent squad.

I can't see it, or maybe I don't want to see it. Willie is killing me with these switches so I suppose anything is possible

                              Haha!

Well would Burning Victory not look his best dart for the race at present (Concertista aside)? Why was PT not on her for her final piece of work unless he’s siding with Echoes In Rain, which would be strange as she’s never ran over the distance and there are doubts about her staying.

I think the pecking order would go Stormy Island as a top rated C&D winner, then Burning Victory as a festival winner, then Echoes in Rain, and then Finest Evermore. If I could only back one of them at the prices it would be Finest Evermore no question and I've just added another point at 22/1. It was a superb comeback run after a year off to go down 5L to Royal Kahala, it really was. If she comes on for that run I think she's a player big time.
