A good day for Echoes In Rain's prospects of running here at least! Wish I went antepost not NRNB now
Not so sure Benjy, if she's been scrubbed from the Champion Hurdle after a promising ish run over the weekend, for me I'd be expecting an issue to come to light.
No run ever over further than 16.5f doesn't strike me as the perfect prep for a step up to a G1 20f race...

Odd not to scratch her from here as well though surely?
Agreed on the prep and the uncertainty regarding staying of course. Pure guesswork on my part. But think could be value in price.
If she wins they should blast out Ewan McVicar in the winners enclosure, everyone sing ‘tell me something girl’, whilst throwing a few shapes and necking a pint
Ever since you posted this I’ve found myself belting out “Telmesomethinggirl” every time that sodding song’s come on (which has pretty much been every day) to the extent the Mrs has said to me this eve “you do know they’re not the words”.
4.15pm after she’s hacked up, I’m going to find you & present you with a bottle of LPR and a straw
Marie's Rock out again tomorrow against Indefatigable among others. I assume if she wins tomorrow she'll be likely to run in this race rather than a handicap? I've already backed her for the Coral Cup but I think she's worth backing for this race NRNB. Best price 33/1 I think.

Yeah, pleased to see they are favouring this race, although the coral cup does remain an option.
Thought that was good on Saturday.
I dont think that race on Saturday was any good tbh
Indefatigable drifted like a barge and didnt run close to form
Maries rock has beaten the 125 rated get a tonic 3 lengths
Really the handicapper shouldn't up her mark at all
Well we can have our opinions on how good the race was , but I was happy enough with her performance.
Not fussed on what the handicapper does, as she’s more likely to be in this race.

Get a tonic was bizarrely dropped 2 pound for winning a race comfortably and was then dropped again for finishing third to Hillcrest and I Am Maximus (albeit a fair way) and finished ahead of some reasonable types which was again generous of the handicapper I’d say. So personally I wouldn’t be taking her rating of 125 too literally, I think she deserves a good deal higher than that which she duly showed. Whitehotchillifilli is rated 134 and the only two mares that have beaten her further than Marie’s Rock going back almost 3 years were Black Tears and Concertista in their respective Cheltenham Festival wins. It was a very solid run imo.

Very tricky to rate that race IMO.
From a ratings perspective and also whether it amounts to decent form or not.
From a rating perspective this is especially true if your starting point is either the third or fourth have ran to their rating. A tough call for the handicapper which will require some guesswork.
The history of Get a Tonic, whilst curious, means nothing. Unless all Official ratings are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
You'd imagine she'd get 10+ for that though. Simply through the winner alone.
