2022 Mares Hurdle

No direct quotes, and i'm not aware of any from Elliott post race. But the RP report states the Coral Cup in mind for Queens Brook.
Would very much assume that's the reporters opinion, given the Mares was name checked prior by Elliott in recent stable tours.
But she does have the Coral Cup entry...
Burning Victory did not close out her race that strongly and was pressed all the way to the line by Queens Brook, who was said to have needed the run after nearly four months off and posted a lovely effort with the Coral Cup in mind.

If they adopt the same as today, both her and Stormy Ireland will be going at it from the front. Which might not help either.
With Heaven Help Us likely to follow suit.
There will be several in the race who will be delighted with such pace to aim at too.
I was chuffed with the run from Burning Victory today though.
Absolutely no issue with her jumping today. Which was what today was all about.
Queens Brook was one to take out the race and i'll very likely back her off the back of that run.
But I do think she was slightly flattered today by the winning margin. I think the winner could have found a little more if push came to shove
And better ground should suit (Cesarewitch second was on good ground, along with a couple of flat wins last summer)
Willie's stable tour today had this to say
“Burning Victory runs today and I’d imagine that’s where she will go too. She’s yet to put it all together and I think the day she does her rating will shoot up. As soon as she gets her jumping together she could be a serious mare.”
That was only her 7th run over hurdles, and now her jumping looks to be improved she could go on another level.
I'm not be any means thinking a star like some of his past mares, but potentially hitting the 150's.
TMSG has had 12 runs over hurdles, Stormy Ireland 23, HHU 13, Echoes in Rain 9, Maries Rock 9. Even Queens Brook has had 6.
Surprised she's still 8/1 actually, especially NRNB.
What today has done I think, even if you weren't overly taken with the performance.
Was add another 2 mares into the mix, probably around the low-mid 140's
Where by you could make a valid case for 6 or 7 mares winning this race this year.

She went pretty quick the first half of the race in first time cheekpieces I imagine that is why she tied up at the end
I dont buy she was idling personally but then I'm always suspicious as that as an excuse unless its a well known rogue like storm control or Abacadabras
