I’ve had her ear marked for the coral myself. Similar profile to dame de compagnie. They both ran in the same 2 mile race at Cheltenham. Dame was 5th of 14, and Marie’s rock 7th of 19. Then upped them both in trip where they both bolted up, then dame went on to win the coral. I’m not sure what Marie’s rocks new mark is yet but will be similar to dame when she won it . Both mares and both relatively unexposed but held in high regard going into the race. A mare won the race last year 2 and hendo has a great record in it

I’m expecting low 140s which is what ddc was rated before ‘pound gate’ adjusted down to 140 after the appeal(incidentally how often do the first and second in a mares handicap hurdle then go on to win that seasons coral cup and Martin pipe). Martello Sky and indefatigable (again ) were first and second this time round.

If they get a clear run with MR I’d be surprised if she doesn’t hit at least 150. With the likes of HHU and Stormy the mares is bound to be run at a fair lick which would suit her down to the ground. I will be watching her nto with real interest and if she wins or goes close I’d be marginally favouring the mares hurdle over the coral cup now. At a minimum she is an interesting alternative to the mares that have been discussed thus far.

Last years Mares handicap hurdle at the DRF - 1st won Coral Cup and 3rd the Mares Novice hurdle. Mrs Milner fell and won the Pertemps.

Year before the same - 1st won the Coral Cup and 3rd the Mares Novice.

          Crazy race last 2 years.

Yea i suppose it depends what happens this weekend. If the handicapper hasn’t been 2 harsh they could decide to withdraw her and leave her for the coral. If she runs this weekend then it looks like they’re probably targeting the mares I’d imagine

            • Many Clouds;n339435] Message from one of the owners of SWIW in a group im in "We think swiw will be ok. Our bad luck with our charges continues. They did not have that hurdle in the race before. Some idiot decided to add back and not properly, she has jumped the shadow and bashed her head. Jockey so confident she would still win, did not pull up when he should have. Hopefully its a bad cut on her head and she will be back one day.

Just wondering if you have heard anything further re SWIW and Cheltenham?

Does anybody have any idea if she will run?

                              • Any reason Galouise would drift slightly for this? Was expecting her to possibly be cut given her entry on the weekend and the news re Shewearsitwell. But pushed out slightly to 14s with PP.
