  • Heaven Help Us made a race stopping mistake on Sunday, so I was surprised to see the bookies push her price out. The link from the Coral Cup to the Mares Hurdle is strong, and she is a very capable mare that isn't a 33/1 chance. She's also a course and distance winner so she has something in the book that none of her serious rivals have.

Can you see her stepping up Spectre ?
I made the comment yesterday that she could go close in a Pertemps but I guess if that’s the case she’s have a squeak in the Stayers.
If she was around 80/20 coming here that 33/1 would be a strong play…

Absolutely. Black Tears was retired to the breeding paddocks after collecting this, significantly increasing her value. The financial incentive of winning the mares hurdle may incentivise connections to take a similar route. I don't think she wants 3m and she'll find things 'easier' vs her own sex. She'd have to find 20lbs+ of improvement to mix it in the stayers, or, be campaigned like a scumbag to get a mark that would suit for the Pertemps. With a C&D win in the book and 'only' 6-8lbs of improvement to find on ratings, I think they'll aim her here and why not.

I'd think it's most likely she comes here Istabraq. She has to go graded, so it's here or the Stayers, and I'd say it's this race that would be on their mind.

The risk is she falls short in the mares races between now and March and she ends up back in a handicap. I think she's more than capable though, and the 33's is well worth having onside. Unless I've called her ability wrong I'm happy she's 80/20 to come here.

I guess the question would be how much of a difference would the 7lb make in the Stayers, assuming they think she stays 3m.
I've taken your comments on board and backed her in the Mares, might look for a small Stayers cover at some point though...

            • I've kept my powder dry for the Stayers. I think she'll be campaigned in mares races, and I think an entry in a recognised Stayers trial would be an early indicator that they perhaps think differently. I doubt they'd go straight from m\res races straight to the Stayers.

They have the advantage of knowing she acts over the Mares Hurdle course and distance from the Coral Cup last year, and that'll be a big pull to the direction she goes, whereas a further step up in class to the Stayers is another step into the unknown, both trip and class.

I also think the Stayers might be a hot race this year, whereas the Mares Hurdle is looking pretty thin, so that'll enter the thought process too.

I think we both agree that she's being underrated though, and 33/1 is no reflection of her actual chance of winning the race. I'd have her in the first three in the market.

I swapped my Betfair 33/1 bet to a Bet 365 one, so I can carry cashout further on her.

Loving the big price pushouts, unless Ive already backed them with that bookie

                  Completely in agreement.

Price pushout was a brilliant move for those who havent backed her yet.

                  On the weekend price pushouts
In reality Heaven Help Us has more chance of winning the Mares Hurdle, and is 33/1
                  than
PTKO has of winning this years QMCC and she has been pushed out to 20/1 (with willing takers)

                  • Anyone heard anything regarding Shewearsitwell lately? Someone involved with her posted up a couple of months back that she was in good form but heard nothing since. Any news on an entry would be welcome for backers

Don’t know anything about her personal well-being, but was a mention on Upping the Ante yesterday how Willie will be reluctant to run/enter many of his horses until the ground gets some much needed rain

Nothing said, but I wouldn't worry. Stable tour comments are all you need to know - She's back and in good form. A bit of a setback meant she didn't run again last season after winning a Grade 3 at Tipperary. We'll go down the Mares' Hurdle route with her.

The stuff that was being posted on her here wasn't right.

But all is sound with her at the moment ; just building fitness.

From what you know, would you expect her to run much this year or could it be more of a Quevega type approach?

Out once she's ready to go.

Hi mate. I think it was you who mentioned back in April that she might've been aimed at the Churdle. What with EIR falling short in the Morgiana, is there any chance the Churdle is back on the table?
