Can’t have AI with that prep, though if there’s one man out there who can get him ready for a Champion Hurdle it’ll be Mullins…

Be some training performance to go Supreme to Champion Hurdle!
Massive fan, but almost impossible to be anything near confident.... hopeful at best.
On everything we know, Honeysuckle's just better anyway.

Great Supreme winner or not, there's obviously been some issue which has never been fully explained. Suddenly he's had a problem which curtails his envisaged novice chase career, so then the plan is to revert to hurdling. That was around 5/6 weeks back. He gets added to the Champion Hurdle market and even is in the early entries for the DRF. That plan was curtailed, and the Red Mills was mooted for his return. While that still may be the case, there's now confirmation from the trainer himself that they could go straight to Cheltenham.
What next? He either isn't ready for Cheltenham or runs and fluffs his lines, leaving the trainer to tell us he probably needed to get a run in to him.
Doesn't feel me with much confidence. What do others reckon?Last edited by Irish Rugby; 9 February 2022, 03:44 PM.
