She's getting beat next time up if she meets Constitution Hill at Punchestown.

      Let's hope it happens

Would be by far her biggest challenge as he looks a freak

      • Simon Rowlands analysis:

So much slower in this than the Supreme to the 3rd flight, then the same time from there. Constitution Hill comes out of the comparison smelling of roses, however...

          • She made winning look easy yet again. Brave ride by Blackmore. Adagio going ok until the mistake - Aintree next for Adagio?
On reflection Epatante was the value e/w bet!

Yep, absolutely no doubt in my mind. CH would have pissed that Champion Hurdle today.

That 25/1 was a very backable price and over priced imo..did I back I back it? No I backed him w o the first 2 in the market only to get done by epatante
fair play to honeysuckle tho what a race mare

                    • Looking back on this something I didn’t realise yesterday is what a massive run Saint Roi put in. Also, I wouldn’t have believed you if you’d told me this time yesterday that Glory and Fortune would finish within 10 lengths of Honeysuckle

As he was running up the straight, I said to my partner he was the best novice I've ever seen. Like some of Sprinters performances and Denmans Hennessys, a performance I'll never forget.

Lets hope he stays fit and well. I'd love to see him against Honeysuckle next time at Punchestown but if not taking her on, if SG wins today, a clash between them two would do.

Well worth a read of Golden Cygnet's Wiki page.
In the greatest era of the Champion Hurdle, he came along as a novice and looked better than any of them.

Absolute tragedy with Golden Cygnet. Which race did they award Golden Cygnet his rating?

I assume his final race if they thought he was going to beat that field off top weight, but he must have had a mega rating beforehand just to be top weight in that field.
