Can anyone reassure me that Appreciate It isn't a genuine threat in this please? Honeysuckle is a staple in many multiples and I'm getting a tad nervy seeing AI sitting there, threateningly
I'll consider him a threat when I see him line up on a race course first, personally.
Plus I know you can only beat what's in front of you, and he routed them, but bar Blue Lord, there's not much to shout about in that Supreme is there
I expect Adagio to finish in front of Epatante to be honest. Having said that I'd expected them to be further apart in that market. So I won't be rushing to place that bet.
Seen a few mentions of Zanahiyr beating Sharjah as well. Can't have it me. Sharjah was good for more than the winning distance last time, having got short of room. And has run 166 RPRs in this the last two festivals. He's a model of consistency and I can't see anything other than him finishing 2nd to Honeysuckle again (providing AI doesn't have a prep looking really impressive )
But if it was the case that Gordon intends to run Zanahiyr, Teahupoo and Saint Felicien in the Champion Hurdle it begins to make sense - if he intends to use Robbie to ride Saint Felicien at Cheltenham.
As a backer of SF that theory - if correct - doesn't fill me with glee because I was hoping he saw Saint Felicien as his number one weapon for the CH and I assumed Davy would keep the ride after partnering on his stable debut.
Can someone come up with a more acceptable explanation why Robbie's on the favourite in the Limestone Lad and Jack and Davy are on the exposed outsiders?

He’s the retained rider for the owner? Is back based in Ireland if I’m not wrong and they might want to give him a nice horse to look forward to after his injury?

As long as he doesn’t take the rides on Bob Grand Jury JWM etc
Rachael will ride Bob Olinger.
I’d say there’s no chance that doesn’t happen if she’s fit and well.
She’ll have her pick of the HdB horses, including Robcour.
Much like the Munir horses with Mullins (Paul/Ruby)
I've added Epatante in the W/O Irish market @ 2/1. She's probably not what she was, but I still think she retains enough ability and with the mares allowance and experience, she should better Adagio and Tommy's Oscar. I don't see any other threats tbh. She went off 2/1 to win the race 2 years ago and 4/1 last year. 2/1 W/O the Irish means should could effectively finish behind Honey, Appreciate It, Sharjah, Quilixious and Saint Roi down in 6th place and you'd still collect. I expected her to be about even money so 2/1 feels like there is a bit of juice in it. If like me you think GDC is a certainty at the DRF now there is no BO, you can double her with him and that pays 7/2 which I've taken.
She's now 5/4 in this market so well done those who nabbed 2/1
From what I've read from connections I'd be very Surprised if Appreciate It took on Honeysuckle at the DRF on his first run back. Could potentially finish him before he has even started if he did. It'll be the Red Mills imo.

As expected goes for the Red Mills. Jeeez, Honey could run a stone beneath her best on Sunday & still win by 5….that really is a bang average edition
And wish everyone would stop crabbing the CH......on RPRs, Honey is running at a level as good or better than any in past 10-20 years....including Hurricane Fly, etc
