Good run from saint roi on seasonal debut and having been keen he stuck at it well.
Maybe one more run or even straight to the festival for him as he seemed to get worse with each run last season so maybe at his best when kept fresh.
At 25/1 he could be a good each way bet.

I very much doubt he'll beat Honeysuckle but he's capable of a place, IMO.

Still a lot of 33s about if you did want it, Richi.
Don't see him being much shorter on the day tbh. Probably be more interesting ways to play it on the day as well, e.g without markets, extra places etc.
Agree it was a reasonable run but feel you're throwing away at least half the stake here.

Realistically you'd probably need honeysuckle to pull out or not run her race for whatever reason, but you never know. But if she didn't turn up i'd give saint roi a good chance of beating the likes of sharjah and epatante with just a pinch of improvement.
And yes I agree, I dont back anything each way this far out myself but just mentioned it as I know a lot of others on here do so he might appeal to them as an each way bet.

Saint Roi to be placed 9/2.
Not going to be for everyone, and I for one wasn't very keen on him last season, however I have marked his seasonal debut up a fair bit as he was seriously buzzy and keen, and basically set the race up (along with Felix Desjy and Petit Mouchoir) for the 3 in behind who settled much better. Despite his exuberance he was only 4 3/4 lengths off of Sharjah and Zanahiyr, who both brought fitness and form to the race.
I've just seen this quote from Willie on Sportinglife:
"Saint Roi ran an absolute cracker. He was very free but jumped well and for a horse having his first run back I reckon there’s lots of improvement to come, which puts him in there with the top hurdlers in Ireland."
This to me is serious enough praise to believe he'll be ahead of Sharjah come the festival and, despite Sharjah being the bridesmaid on a couple of occasions at the festival now, Saint Roi at least brings winning festival form to the table. I don't think I'm being over the top to suggest the likely improvement is going to come from Saint Roi and not Sharjah either, given one will be only 7 and the other 9, come the race, not to mention the difference in actual number of races they've competed in.
I've seen a few get excited by the Sharjah to place price at 11/8, and whilst this is obviously a possibility, I much prefer the 9/2 about Saint Roi, given the extremely likely expected improvement to come.

Short price betting of any sort, on events months ahead and involving horses just doesn't float my boat.

I don’t even have a bet in this race(excluding Honey multiples).
I just think wait for the day and have a stonking bet at hopefully just odds on (in my dreams) with any luck.
She is just head and shoulders above everything and anything in the market. I just don’t see the point in trying to find an each way angle given a lot will not even bother if she hoses up in the Irish champion next month. That performance last year was phenomenal and so glad I took Lobos juice and had the 16’s prior to it “just in case” she went for the champion hurdle over the mares.
People will throw the “shite division” at her etc but she’s 14/14 any horse racking up those numbers regardless of opposition in any sporting life deserves full credit.
