They may think it’s corrupt, backing horses to lose isn’t something fixed odds bookmakers would do.

Sadly, I think you might be right. Another sign of the times

I’ve never known a bookmaker to refund an ante post bet placed on a horse who is confirmed to be injured or worse but said bookmaker is still quoting them.
Some might argue their behaviour in that sense is corrupt, and given that many now sponsor trainers you have to assume they are always ahead of the rest of us…

        • I think william hill give you a chance to cash a ante bet once a month, i cashed a couple last year when cashout wasnt offered, by going onto the chat..its at that point when your in the middle of the chat that you realise you have no life

            Can only agree with that.

Bookmaking is corrupt at times, always has been.

            • Credit to Nigel for today's result.
I nearly joked before the race that Nigel will think he has the Champion hurdle winner if he ran well.

              Then he goes and wins.
And is now talking about the Champion hurdle trial at Haydock then the big one itself
              You have to love him.
Would have a better chance in the stayers, but still not really.

                • I haven’t heard anything, but I Don’t have a good feeling about Aspire Tower well being, and have decided cash out. Extremely strange he has no entries.

Would go back in once some news of his well being or he’s entered for a race, but don’t like the vibes

Didn't Henry de Bromhead say he was out until into the new year?

I’m not sure, haven’t read or heard anything, i hope that’s the case.

I’m just being cautious I guess

Things change, but yes, one run and then to the Festival was the plan.

                        • Echoes In Rain backed for the Matheson today. Hopefully she can put herself right back in the Champion Hurdle picture by winning.

These small field graded races won't suit her at all imo

County hurdle however would be right up her street

Yip agree about the small fields but I’d counter by saying if there’s pace she’d look a lot better IMO.

The 3 runner race was a bit of a joke as nobody injected pace in the race at all. She did win the Grade 1 novice hurdle comfortably when there was more pace in the race (would also say was Grade 1 on paper only).

That 143 mark (maybe 148ish in uk) would be wasted finishing miles behind honeysuckle in the champion

Stick her in the county and watch her win i say
